I can echo Arkady in that it is repainting some of my Windows scheme to khaki colours. it used to do it only when it crashed now it does it when I exit the program normally.
Hmm, it's not supposed to do that, on normal game exit my system window colors are restored. Are you using Windows 8* perhaps?

And on my Windows 7 system, 1.04 and before behaved just the opposite -- on game exit, left in place the game colors, crash or no.

Strange!

I can confirm the colors restore to normal after game exit on my W8.1 64bit system...

After all these years the game is still supported and patched.

In my view it stands up very well against what is available "today".

Nice maps, wonderful unit graphics, scenario generator, I could go on and on, and the music..........

Thanks to all involved, and thanks to Jason for keeping it alive.

+1

When I think of the many years that Jason (also Mike et al) have stood by this game, I am in awe of his (their) dedication.

Matrix Team:[8D]

A hearty and sincere "THANK YOU VERY MUCH" from a "middle-aged" gamer who first cut his teeth on East Front II way back in 1998! [X(]

[&o] Your Team has breathed new life into an ageless and classic game system... and I am grateful for all the dedication, and hard work that has made the JTCS 2.0 patch possible!

Looking forward to enjoying many hours with the "new gal"! [;)]

Thanks a lot for the upgrade!!, I have I problem with it, anytime I try to get the unit info panel (by clicking on the icon, menu selection or F2) the game freezes and I need to stop it via program admin. I use Windows 8.1...

Very odd. I have just tried accessing the unit handbook every conceivable way

[*]unit selected, no unit selected
[*]toolbar icon, Help menu selection, F2 key
[*]separate Windows XP, 7 & 8.1 installs (on three different systems)

and no freezes, no problems, everything WAD.

Before attempting to access the unit info panel, have you selected a unit first?

In your update, did you (recommended) start afresh with a new, pristine clean v1.00 install (from original medium), then run the 2.00 update install?

Great job. I am glad this game still gets attention.

I can remember hours upon hours playing this game as a kid. Glad I found the updated versions a handful of years ago.

Thanks over and over.

Many thanks for the care taken with this olde gem. Particularly for the code work that has been done. The hobby relies on good people toiling away on projects like these for their fellow gamers. It's fantastic, and appreciated.

I installed about an hour ago made a few adjustments to the way I like to play. Fired up a EF scenario and it's running like a top. After a few turns and first blush I have to say this is a really nice update.
I was pleasantly surprised to see how fast the AI works and even the amount of time it takes for a tank round to get to it's target. :)
I like being able to pick the hot spot color...green is my new fav. A smoke button!!! Jesus can take me home now :)
Nice work gents thumbs up!!!

I informed the Armchairgeneral editor. Maybe we'll get well-deserved PR.
