windows 10 compatibility testing

Hired Guns: The Jagged Edge is a turn-based strategy that puts you command of a squad of specialists for hire in the genre’s biggest game-world yet: the African country Diamond Coast. Diamond Coast is a playground for the cruel and corrupt, each with their own agenda. Choose your friends wisely and buy an army of ruthless mercenaries to unleash mayhem on your foes. Choose “jobs” from different factions and complete them for cash to upgrade your weapons and hire more elite soldiers of fortune.

MSVCR71.dll crash error is a .net error

maybe something, maybe not, but windows 10 has all the files needed, but not always loaded, so try some of these and retry the save

all these files are with windows 10, but not loaded by default

the game will have a .net version, it will need installing with the game, even if you have a new version, as you can see on my test pc, i have almost all of them, as each game needs a different version, if the game is a 32bit game, i still load the 64bit files as i have a 64bit o/s, so it's always 32bit first, then and only then, the 64bit version

sometimes it's good to load others as well, just for backward compatibility

some windows 10 bits, can and do stop certain older games from working or working correctly at all, so disabling them, as most users don't use them anyway

makes running older games more fun and more stable

while you already got a save, won't take too long to test it, just make sure your start up profile is a few files as shown in my screen shot of ccleaner above etc, as background apps and programs all take up space and resources etc, and can cause conflicts, so less is better than more

No the exit autosave crashes to desktop. Yesterday the quick save worked and so did the manual save.

so did you get past the final bit or not? as if not then it's a game ender for sure,

as you can always upload the save here in zip format so others can see or check, as i'm sure the mod at least from the development team is still around and may have more insight on it etc
