I like this game as well. I was wondering, could you have the pbem system in this game that's similar to DC3? I haven't tried a pbem game yet, still playing the scenarios.

The developers do a good job answering questions like Jason and Crossroads

budd, since you own both right: How's the DC3 PBEM different from CS one? Does it use Sllitherine PBEM++, or?

I don't pbem, but I'm guessing the poster is referring to the pbem++ system. You sign in and post challenges or accept challenges, and it has some anti cheat system. Not sure if it emails you when you have a turn. Saves are on a server which I believe can be pulled by devs for bug issues. Don't quote me on any of this just what I've read. A bunch of Matrix/Slitherines games use it.

OK thanks budd. I am familiar with PBEM++ from Flashpoint Campaigns, was not sure what DC3 uses as I don't have the game. I just might have to buy it though, looks like a fun one!

Correct. Great system too! You do receive an e-mail of a turn being ready to play. I love PBEM, but this server has work well for me since BA1 [:)]

So how does it work with Steam enabled Matrix games do you know? I assume the same, right. You initiate a game and it contacts the M/S servers and kicks off from there?

Bought it now. Looking forward to trying it out. First I'll get the mods going though.

Thanks!

But....as per your previous roadmap posts .....is it really still going to be 15 months before you release Vietnam and the WW2 title?

We're putting a lot of groundwork at the moment, with CS:ME 1.03 taking a lot of benefit from that too. Then, it would be quicker to start rolling games out, as most of the difficult stuff is there already. That's the plan at least [:)]

I am thinking about buying this as well. I have not played a title like this in the past, more of a panzer corps, order of battle player. Do you think I will struggle to pick the game up?
Thanks!

Welcome aboard. It defiantly will be a step up and your also changing time frames so the equipment will be a lot different. It will be easy to jump in and move stuff, just start with the smaller scenarios and do the tutorial with the manual open. I believe all toolbar options have tooltips and F2 and F3 are your friends for looking up equipment, I use F3 all the time. Start small, enjoy yourself and ask questions and if your a pbem fan I always have room for another game, I'm brand new to pbem.
