Glad you got the full screen working. I'll reinstall after I see what GOG comes back with on my support ticket. I installed using Galaxy, and verified the cache but that didn't work.

Greetings budd,
I do not use GOG galaxy, just basic download. I hope GOG support sorts it out for you.

Do these games have linked battles or a campaign feature? I'm not interested in just one time battles but wondering if progress can carry over.

There are campaigns, been so long since I played one can't remember the format, regarding repair and reinforcement or map progress.

Greetings Bamilus,
Yes there are campaigns as well as battles you can select in CM Beyond Overlord, Barbarossa to Berlin and Afrika Korps game menus.

Tons of user made scenarios and some campaigns too:

There are also quick battle generators in each game too and can be played as either side (axis or allies).

Where do we place all the scenarios again? Does anyone have this running on a 34" screen?

The ONLY 3dish games I ever really liked.

I like wego as well.

What I don't like is my old disks that haven't even heard of Vista let alone several OSs since :)

I'll probably consider getting the GoG files. I like how GoG knows how to make things operate without a lot of geek knowledge required.

I already had CMBO as it’s been on GOG for a long time. Might pick the other two up just for nostalgia’s sake. My journey into wargames began when I randomly picked up the CMBB special edition box in a games store in like 8th grade. That disc lived in or on my PC for the next three years or so.

I extremely regret letting my family “clean out” the computer room when I went away to college. Lost so many treasured CD’s from that era. Combat Mission, Mechwarrior 2, Baldur’s Gate, Starcraft, Freespace 2. The list goes on.

I think I'm going to grab CM AK. The setting is 'different enough' and I never really got into CM, because it got left behind by never ending OSs for me.

I'm not so hardcore into 3d. I don't have much if any interest in the current state of the software design for CM.

It'll be more of an oddity I play when I want something not quite counter pushing.
