Here is a FREE game
-I do not like it
-I do not like the guys giving it away
-I do not like pickles
-I do not like the heads up on the free game.

Come on people, it is fine that you are negative to something, but the old saying "if you cannot say anything positive about something, stfu", seems like something you all need to consider imo.

It is a free game, it is on Epic, they are doing this as they are trying to compete with Steam. Take it or leave it. Jeez.

When a business's product isn't a physical item on a shelf, it's not hard to 'give it away'.

I noticed that the doc and expansions are not going cheap. I'm sure giving away the base game has not hurt them much if at all.

Aye. Give the base game away and maybe people will buy the DLC.

You must install Epic Games Launcher [:-]

What's the worst thing that can happen?
No, really, what's the worst thing that can happen.

I'm already using Google, FaceBook, I've done online banking, filed my taxes online.
What's the worst that can happen?
Seriously.

My computer isn't doing anything vital.
I am a nobody.

I don't care who Epic Games is owned by.
It means aaaaaabsolutely nothing to me.

My only observations have been, the game is free, which is likely a reflection of how much it's worth. And the DLCs are not cheap. Which likely means they are getting enough money already.

As for the game launcher, I'm more concerned by Windows 10 being on my computer.

Yeah, like that game called Minecraft that's everywhere. The guy that made it only made a couple billion off it. Cartoony trash. [:D]

I am burned out with all games and I only buy a game when it is seriously discounted. You are like me with games, I downloaded Civ 6 and tried it, same as Civ 5

I'm a lot like that. It takes a lot for me to pay full price. I DID pay full price for Bannerlord (well, there was a 10% discount or so first week) and am seriously disappointed.

I have games on Steam on my wishlist and wait for them to be on sale. I got Civ 6 for free, but I dunno if I'll even play it. Civ V was "OK".

You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

On top of that Minecraft has blocky graphics. But hey, larger number of people have always liked simpler games. Sure Elite sold well and made its creators millionaires, but I'm pretty sure Super Mario Bros (original for Famicom/NES) well outsold Elite.

Yup, we are in the same category. I wait until it goes real low.

Well, you could get an Apple product.

Or you could install Linux - of whatever flavor.

If I had enough money to waste on Apple anything, I'd not need Linux, I'd be able to afford technicians to make sure everything worked correctly. Which is why I'm running Windows ;)

Like 5-6 year4s after release!!!. I'll still enjoy it. I'm working through games released 5-6 years ago, right now. Well, some of them haha. But a LOT of games I buy are during sales.

Games I picked up while on sale - Kingdom Come Deliverance, Wolfenstein New Order and Old Blood. Just about any Assassin'd Creed I buy is when they are on sale. I bought Witcher 3 on sale. I've bought a lot of Matrix/Ageod/Slitherine games on sale, but I will say I bought games like WITW, WITE, WITPAE when at full price.

Going back to non Slitherine games, just can't see myself paying 50-60 for a game anymore.

You've got lots of company there. Even when 1 game cost less than $10, or when large number of games cost less than $50 (~$1/game), people still complain about the price. Youth these days... Do you remember how much new NES game used to cost?

Humble Bundle has low prices. Problem with that is the bundles have lots of wood scraps mixed in with the good lumber. [;)]

Well... I don't really complain. I just wait. I'm not going to tell a company, "Hey, you are charging too much!!!" I just don't buy it until it gets to where I think it should be.
