Public Beta v1.050 is Now Available!

Gary Grigsby’s World at War is back with a whole new set of features. World at War: A World Divided still gives complete control over the production, research and military strategy for your side, but in this new updated version you’ll also be able to bring spies into the mix as well as neutral country diplomacy, variable political events and much more. Perhaps the largest item is the ability to play a special Soviet vs. Allies scenario that occurs after the end of World War II.

Well going from basic to advanced would not make sense anyway. Where would the program decide to individually place the supply trucks? All back at the capital at the time you turn on advanced? In reality that would fubar your game. Then all them supplies would have to be shuffled back to the front lines taking up a lot of time. Going from advanced to basic would be ok though.

Yes I was tinkering in single player as I just got back hands on the game in perspective of potential MP games and I feel people play with Advanced Supplies in general.

Still won't run on my system. Joe at support has sent various ideas none of which helped unfortunately. I'm quite confident the installation is good but still no joy. I click the play field, and the splash screen flickers to life and then dies.

My setup is a fairly solid and mainstream gaming laptop from Asus ROG Strix line, with more than enough power for the published specs. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to participate in the testing.

Can you recall the exact sequence of steps you took to see this issue with supply resetting to zero ? I've just run a few trial solo (non server) games and can't change supply options once a game has started?

I'm amazed, it runs excellent on my 1920x1080 system. Just like it did about a decade ago. Smooth menus, music, sounds, wow... brings back good memories. Just have to do the tutorials now. [:)]

Yes, I just posted a note that the 1.051 update should be out soon. This just has a few fixes and improvements, and should become the official version after a short run as a public bets. The work is done, it's just getting an updated installer and should be posted in the next few days.

The official 1.051 is not out and the 1.050 link is bad.

There is no 1.051 official yet. You can go here: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4958431 to get the 1.051 beta, and then you can go to the thread for the 1.052 beta and add that to 1.051. I hope that helps. Sorry for the confusion.
