don't know- small pic scan as JPEG at 300 dpi. Edited in photoshop and saved as Jpeg. How other do I tell?

Standard web resolution is 72 dpi...300 is pushing the file size over and after the web projects your image at 72, the image is huge.

The limits are 145pixels x 145 pixels and file size limit of 750kb.

Right Thanks for the info - i will go at it again without charging the floodgates with all those extra bytes. Thanks for the help. Will post here to see if I got it right as it seems like the thread for it (if not then appologies)

Click the checkbox AFTER you upload...looks like that's the kicker.

OK I scaned in the image at 72 dpi and after a little reduction in photoshop the board uploaded the image - but then nothing - sorry if I look a bit dense - long time filmaker -short time techician--Duh

When I uploaded a replacement for mine, it took a few days before I saw it, so I don't know exactly how it works behind the scenes.

(I mean boy's/girls who know how to tweak these things. It might suprise you but there is one hell of a lot peeps who are not great on comps Boys and girls) who love these games but are challenged on loading an avatar!!!!) - Mind you the help from gamers on this board 2nd to none.
