Xiphos,

I suggest you try to play again the scenario even before the patch arrives. I have played a couple of times this scenario as the allied and in both occasions the Germans instead of spreading north decided to dig in on both banks of the canal.
I am actually quite surprised to see how the AI behaved in post #3 where they have apparently left the bridge objective unguarded. Having played also as German I know that the bridge is a very valuable objective this makes it even harder to understand the AI behaviour.

I might have a couple of saved games, if interested I will post them to show how bad it can get for the Allied.

Congrats anyway for the overwhelming victory.

I agree that the paratroopers seemed knocked on their heels during the beginning skirmish until they were able to reorg just before my reinforcements got to them. They should have been able to push back across to the south instead of reorging on the north bank of the canal. I'm not sure why they left the one side unguarded, either. It may have been a reaction to my two companies trying to gain position on the rise opposite Loutrakiou, where it took much longer for the units south of the bridge to regroup and try for position. I'm not really sure.
