Suggestions for future patches

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Better fog of war if possible

The Axis should not be informed of allied planes crashing in England, south Italy and Africa, and the Alied should not be informed of axis planes crashing in axis territory on their way back to their airfields if there is no nearby allied units.

Less overclaiming for the axis in the BTR action reports, 99% of the action takes place over axis controlled land and they where fairly able to count the wrecks. In BoB thoug more combat occur over sea which make big overclaiming more reasonable.

Be able to change the unit commander

I have several units whos commander have been wounded and sometimes replaced with some low ranking dumbass with 55-59 inspiation, and those guys is still leading the unit even after the wounded Major or Colonel has returned.

At least the highest ranking pilot should automaticly become the commander.

Some names on radar stations on the map that should be corrected.

Radarstations with german city names located i Denmark:

Old name/Loc/New Name
Peenemunde radar 970,110 = Bornholm
Barth radar 870,110 = Moen
Marienehe radar 846,128 = Nykobing
Travemunde radar 814,115 = Nakskov
Schleswig radar 782,112 = Risemark
Kiel radar 803,83 = Nyborg
Flensburg radar 780,64 = Fredericia
Stralsund radar 875,69 = Copenhagen
Rostock radar 848,86 = Naestved

...and some misplaced radarstation names in Germany

Greifswald radar 893,148 = Schaprode
Swinemunde radar 913,178 = Wolgast
Leck radar 739,100 = Flensburg
Neubrandenburg radar 946,199 = Wollin

Good stuff, thanks. The official patch is moving into the Matrix queue so this may have to wait until 1.07...

Yes, we took great pains to ensure that your saves from the last official patch (1.06.05) will be compatible. Anything before 1.06 will not work.

I have a doubt concerning the distances that are imposed to the various raids (reco, straffing, bombing) ... I have checked several times on the Mediterranean Theater (MTO) and the A.I. NEVER [:-] respects the imposed distances.

For example if I declare that the "Sweeps" operations (12th AF) must not be done at more than 100/150 or 200 kms the AI does not take it into account and launches a raid on "FREJORGU" which is at 285 miles (equals 485 kms) [X(] ...

This damned AI does not listen to anything, bad that, very bad !!!

This is the first time I've heard about patch 1.07. What are the new features?

We haven't prioritized anything yet for 1.07.

Could we lose the "Dives to attack a balloon" message on Level 1? Happy to keep "Destroys a balloon" though!

I don't know if it is possible and interesting for all the players but I would like to see the possibility to see the "paths" for the different planned operations rather than all the operations like : Show Paths = [Ctrl + R]

"Bombers Paths" = [Ctrl + B]
"Recos Paths" = [Ctrl + R]
"Sweeps Paths" = [Ctrl + S]
"Night Bombers Paths" = [Ctrl + N]
"Nignt Intruders Paths" = [Ctrl + I]

Good idea, these are easy to change. I changed the "raid spotted" message to level 3 for 1.06.xx. Any other suggestions for message level filtering?

This has likely been brought up, but I would like to see an option of "amount of days since last photo" when autoplanning recon raids. I spend a lot of time going through autoplanned raids looking for ones thats had just been to the same target previously.

Also the ability to set the "max damage" setting to either 99 or 100. I could be wrong but if you damage something to 99% you then have to manually recon it to find that it is damaged to less then 91% before it can be targeted by auto recon.

Also a generic "industry" targeting option. Allowing me to set a range and then general "industry" as a target to allow me recon all the industry in say the Low Countries, I think this would work especially well with a "days since last photo" option.

I wish to add an export botton just like in Wite series, to export a CSV file of OOB and relative information such as Available planes, Unavailavles, morale, etc.

if possible make it available for the production tab too please; could really use such a summary table to manage prodution

Not sure if that is of interest to anyone but me but what about a ruler to measure the distance between 2 points?
This strange thing in BoB were I click on a target and then get the shortest distance to the French coast doesn't really help me.

re: the ruler, I use fighter sweep to select a point anywhere on the map (with sweep it doesn't need to be a target), and then adjust the other endpoint on a new friendly airbase using "inbound 1". you can read the distance at the lower right of the screen. when your done just esc-exit sweep without selecting a lead group. It's a little clunky but works Ok for now.

BTR PR missions - Message Level 1

When conducting Photo-Recce in bad weather, we get the message ".... Target Area is x% obscured"

We then get one of two follow-up messages. Either "Unable to locate target" or "Switching to secondary Target".

It would speed-up game play if the follow-up messages were combined with the initial Target obscured message. Would that be possible?

Perhaps it can be an option to play without it?

I'd wish to see pilot pool somewhere.

I'd wish to be able to manually allocate plane replacement, like what i could do in DTR.

Or at least a report or some statistic on the unit detail tab, showing how many planes/pilots were reinforced each turn/week? that could be very helpful. manually tracking it is annoying, not doing so is just a vague guess.
