My partner and I stopped playing in December for the same reason - net play.
Which is too bad really. Such a nice looking game.
Oh well there are other games out there to play.

Had to dig this up.
Updated to 1.1.3 finally. And must say have not been doing much with this game. Too many other great games coming out now. Figured when get closer to the AI release I will get back into it. - but still love it.

Yeah, I'm just going to let this one sit for six months to a year. By then I'm sure all the bugs will be gone. Too many bugs make the game too unstable and frequent crashes and freezes just make it no fun to play. I'll revisit later in 2014.

Playing MWiF via Teamviewer and Ventrilo. While waiting for NetPlay.

Note we are not using the hotseat mode. We are using the Solo mode. So USentry is not exactly "secret". Also we have a house rule for Russia/Japan to keep some units in the East. Just because there is no coded rule. 4 units each minimum by 1940.

I watched a game fall apart after an odd set of circumstances.

Japan DOW on Netherlands early.
I goof and set France as the controller.
When France goes Vichy, part of the fleet had been forced out of France, causing nothing to be Free French.
Dutch government in exile turns over territory to Axis (Germany).
Production chart shows 4 idle Japanese oil, but clicking cannot locate them. They no longer see accessible.

Time to start again.

Although this probably doesn't happen that much, a savegame would help to see if there is an issue which could appear at other places.

I'm a software developer (not games). I have been known to push boundaries. I wish I had beta tested this. I let the lack of AI (at first) keep me away.

WarHunter's Recolor Mod Complete is now available for download.

My gift to those who want a little different color to their ww2 gaming experience.

Checked to see where we are at with patches to see if I want to mess with it.

Got angry at Matrix Games because they are making zero progress on the A.I. version, and thinking about what else I could have spent my $100 on instead.

Playing with my friend and Germany invading France through Maginot-line. One French militia was killed and another one was shattered. We were not sure if it goes to any city or "own" city. It kind of matters, because one of those militia was from Dakar. So we saved the game, shattered Dakar militia and ended turn. I went went "quickly" through all and of turn stages and found out that Dakar militia goes to Dakar. So I loaded the game and some how save was broken, I was not able to continue play.

What next? I reloaded from auto save "Land combat resolution" and played again 3 combats as many times as needed to get same results. Including one combat with roll 4. You might quess that I had to load and roll those combats few times ;)

And now we are ready to continue...

You are not using the option to set die rolls, then? Are you playing Solitaire or Hot Seat?

Edit: BTW, the next time this happens wouldn't you be better off shattering the other unit?

Set die rolls? Is this a joke or how/where can I choose that? Hope it's not a joke and I learn something important today :)

We are playing Solitaire using screen share over internet.
