I do the opposite now. I put the ones with low morale and experience on the front line most of the time.

So what you're syaing is that in our game you have a bunch of really high morale units away from the front? Could you please keep them there for the remainder of our game?

Sorry I should have said in the opening months up until the 1st mud turns ;)

But Sorry Dinglir not adhering to that at our current turn 25 still in your hands ;-P You have 19 Guard Infantry Division sitting on your door steps with 4 more Guard Infantry Division sitting behind the lines in that Gereral vicinity.

And when will will see some more screen shots? [:)]

Now in T14 and it's tense to say the least. I have many big bad stacks in prepared fortifications but I'm constantly being pushed back. I had to vacate the Dnepr this turn or risk more pockets, something Sparkly did very well the last 2 turns when he pocketed 4 units at Dnepropetrovsk and 10 in front of Moscow. Leningrad is of course still a disaster, let's see how long they hold out. Made too many silly mistakes this game but so did Sparkly so we're even. This is very much a learning game for both of us.

South of Moscow a less convincing pincer. Note the first division promoted to guard status refitting east of Moscow to increase morale. Another one around Belgorod where the Bear has been hugging a couple German divs the last few turns. I have a 3rd unit with 5+ wins (not guard yet) but that's it so far. About a page of units with 2 wins, so working on it at every opportunity. Let's see if Sparkly keeps offering me some nice snacks [;)]

Kursk area fairly light on both sides. Note on the mini map the masses of units walking to the front from the Urals. On refit to build morale before being railed to the front.

Kharkov is the next area where I will have to fall back. I expect next turn.

Vacating the Dnepr as it was getting too hot there.

Turn 15

In AGN I am just trying to reduce the pockets, get out some of the finns into a defensive line and preparing to take Leningrad with as minimal forces as I can
It may hold until the snows at this rate and I am unsure if prioritising forces to Moscow over taking Leningrad quickly would of been a wise move

In AGC I try a two pronged offensive in hopes of gaining more ground as a buffer before the happy times end

I decide to push in from the north and in the south in hopes of stretching his lines as much as possible and to stop any concentrated counter attacks

I also try to make sure I amass a decent build up in the centre in hopes of being able to capitalise on any weakness next turn or react to Psych0s turn in force if anything goes wrong

In the south my original plan was to push to Stalino for the protection it would give my armour for winter but I see 12 units I could encircle at Kharkov and my kills down here are abysmal , I do think Psych0 may have baited me with this to ensure Stalino was safe but with the south being a strong front for the Soviets and a shaky one all game for me I decide to go for the units as come winter the 120k less troops will make a nice difference where as getting Stalino would be situational as my flanks could easily be pinched and I could be pushed out without a fight if Psych0 chose to do so

The only way I will be getting Stalino now is with a snow offensive but I will have to see how the last few turns go

Whatever happens this is the front I am worried about come winter

Observation from inside the Bear Cage... pockets can be a real delaying nuisance. Opening them up can rescue a couple units while the rest ties up the spearhead for longer than OKH desires I suspect. It can easily backfire into a bigger pocket but with Kharkov the former is the case so far.

Oh and Kharkov wasn't an intentional 'baiting'. More a lucky bait as it turns out. Feels like it's a real art to guide the Germans where you want them to go in summer 41.

So more like;

2 + 2 = 5
