It has been a 3 vs 1 (GB/ France plus USA plus SU against Germany/ Italy). Axis is beaten and wont stand much longer while being attacked by three sides.

But as part of a 2 vs 2 Axis still can play an important role. There is a very powerful Luftwaffe and German tanks are highly developped. In case of GB/ France plus Germany against USA plus SU, I wont bet who is winning.

Anyway, in case of a 1 vs 1 with Axis and another side being neutral I would bail out and leave it up to someone else to play Axis. It makes no sense playing a side that is neutral and cannt do anything.

GB(FR) + the Nazi beasts vs Uncle Joe and Uncle Sam(China) would be fun.

As I said I am happy to call it on game 12, the Axis defeated job done.
Are we like late Rome, infatuated with past glories, ruled by a complacent, greedy elite, and hopelessly powerless to respond to changing conditions?
