Once the Soviet defensed were unhinged, there was always a place to attack with no forts. I couldn't resist temptation and have ran down my motorized troops to 30% TOE and beyond :)

It will take all summer to get them back to 50%. Its a pity that we cant direct all reinforcements to
specific units.

Three turns on refit resulted in one motorized division go from 40% to 70%, so that's not bad. It's just hard to go above the army average %, because of built-in starvation prevention.

a new push by panzers bypassing part of my def

Hard to resist going the path of least resistance when I see hexes with zero forts and clear terran versus four hexes deep lines of level 2 forts in good terrain [:)]
ORIGINAL: cpt flam
Voronezh is threaten and first line

A few MPs short to cut off those troops between Kursk and Belgorod... One of many instances to come [:(] Mostly due to the fact that closing encirclement would require breaking main line of resistance with level 2 forts and for that lone panzer or motorized divs are too weak, while a huge number of infantry is tied by the Orel pocket. I'm short on troops to cover rapidly expanding frontlines.

Crimea is doomed for now

On the first turn of Crimea operation I thought it will be a disaster, because of the one panzer corps sent away to help near Orel. But it turned out to be successful. Panzers are probing into Taman peninsula, despite shortage of infantry to cover their rear and deal with remaining Soviet units. If I remember well, that one group on the shores of Azov put up quite a fight (multiple defensive wins) and I had to send panzers to finally destroy them.

Sign of poor leadership on German side: panzers in the mud, penetration without encirclement. Always a few MPs short to fully execute a plan. But this has to be done to keep up momentum and roll the flank, giving them no time to dig in.

Very important target, to switch supply from Kerch which is behind the straits and swamps.
