Yeah, sorry I didn't respond but genuinely didn't want to hurt your feelings. I know I am probably in a minority here, but I just don't get Buckley's music or singing (or Bob Dylan for that matter). I was surprised to find, literally just the other day, that Song to the Siren was one of his - LOVE that song and have since This Mortal Coil brought it out as a single in the 80's. Yet, I had no idea it was one of his. Out of curiosity I played Buckley's original, but confess I did not like his version. Sorry Wodin.....[:(]

In my humble opinion this is the best version of this great song that I have heard.

Surprised as Dylan can't sing but Tim Buckley is renowned for having an amazing singing voice that can hit all notes.

Did you listen to The Trees?

I may be playing stuff abit left field as you prefer more mainstream music.

I'm what you call a "Muso" so mainstream on the whole doesn't appeal.

Your definitely not in the minority, the vast majority have the same tastes as you.

The Trees and Tim Buckley are ok with me. But then, I have a wide musical taste.

I love Blues, this style in particular.

His 2 minute solo starting at about 3:50 is my favorite part, but it's all good. It sounds best with beer. I play a lot of air guitar when I listen to this and I've been drinking. I sound pretty darned good, too.

Can anyone recommend any blues artists similar to Gary Moore?
