I'm waiting for Vincent O'Hara's Six Victories: North Africa Malta and the Mediterranean Convoy War November 1941–March 1942 due this fall.

I too await this, though I suspect it will be another tale of how the Regia Marina won the Battle for the Middle Sea.....
I expect better from O'Hara.

Currently re-reading A Great and Glorious Victory: New Perspectives on the Battle of Trafalgar. See https://www.1805club.org/

Waiting for Ian Toll's take on that period coming "soon"

Thinking about Rick Atkinson's new Trilogy on the American Revolution called "The British are Coming" out next week but I am wondering if it will have anything new enough to justify the time reading it?

I am also thinking about picking up his Revolutionary War trilogy, Delaware. My previous efforts to read a cogent summary on the topic have been disappointing. His "Army at Dawn" series was quite good, so I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I have to wonder how many copies of Fleet at Flood Tide have been sold by Amazon because they list it directly after Toll's first two books on their site and people think its vol 3?

Defending The Rock - Gibraltar and the Second World War (Rankin)

Haven't found anything to get into for a while now - so let's see if this scratches an itch....
warspite1

Mmmmm... I'm not exactly finding this a page turner....

Over 100 pages in and it is more a book about the Spanish Civil war at the moment. I mean that is fine as the war affects Gibraltar, but there's a lot that has nothing to do with the rock. Hope it improves!

Does your book answer the timeless question posed by so many of my generation? Namely, "Can you smell what the rock is cookin'!?!"

No, but it does have a nice filmography at the back of the book listing his work

I really hate not having a book to read. After the disappointment of the Gibraltar book, I bought Monte Cassino (Parker) and although obviously a good book (and I will return to it), it isn't scratching the itch.

I was browsing at Waterstones yesterday and saw Gorbachev (Taubman) and, my curiosity piqued by the excellent Chernobyl (last episode tomorrow), I thought I would give it a go. I must say so far its really very good and I look forward to understanding more about this man.
