Game #223 [WIN] ElvisJJonesRambo (Allies) vs Jonny25k (Axis) --- Quite the game, quite the comeback. Jonny25k went thru Africa and Middle East like butter. He was smashing Russia, slowly. The Japanese took Australia. Americans were absolutely desperate. Loaded up California, with 5+ Marines, 3+ AA-guns, and multi-National fleet and headed straight for Japan. It had to be open, there were too many Japs all over the Pacific. Wanna say we busted a garrison, and the rest was empty. Doo-Little in the form of a landing force. Japanese MMPs had to be hurting.
The race was on. Nazis started pounding the Russians more.
Nazis headed to Persia from Middle East and massive battle happened in Afghanistan.
Who would surrender first, the Japs or Russia?
Took long time, a grind, but Japan went down late 1944.
So did Russia.
Yankee Long Range Bombers and Air Game (no surprise) finally wore down the 3R.
German surrendered in 1946, took forever to wear down Germans by MMPs.
Lots of Yankee suicide bridgehead in Greece, Turkey, France, Germany were repelled.
Anything to get Nazis of the Eastern Front to slow the fall of the Reds.
Fun game, played this couple times, would again.

It was really a fun game but at the beginning of 1946 the game was lost. Allies took out the minors in southeast Europe as I had no longer enough troops to close the holes in the front lines. As already mentioned by Elvis, the game changer was the American landing in Japan which dropped Japanese MMPs to about 200 per turn. I was able to take Australia and to land at the west coast but Japs were already lost at this point. I really like to battle you.ElvisJJonesRambo wrote: Mon Nov 18, 2024 6:32 am Game #223 [WIN] ElvisJJonesRambo (Allies) vs Jonny25k (Axis) --- Quite the game, quite the comeback. What made that game so fun, was the action, and swing of momentum. You had me on the ropes, big time. You kicked the crap outta the Egypt United Kingdom forces so easily. Russia was getting a pounding, I had no hope of stopping you. Yanks landed like 4 times, desperation bridgeheads to get any units of the Eastern Front. I achieved that, but all my Yanks kept getting wiped out. Your Australia invasion also caught me off guard. I had you stopped there initially, and had my task force heading that way. Then you double-downed, reinforced before I got there, waxing the Men at Work. So I switched targets, had to do something. You had so many advanced Japs across the Pacific, something had to be open.
The later battles in Middle East are always good. Gerry had better supply thru Turkey, back to Europe than the Allies when I go back to Egypt. The Bombers hit your supply lines.
I'm on Holiday soon, if you want to start a game. Will take either side. Host and Post.

Re: Elvis Gold Records
Game #224 [WIN] ElvisJJonesRambo (Allies) vs El Condoro (Axis) --- Was his first game as Axis in the Pacific, so little bit to be desired on the initial turn landing freebies. Japs would later get worked over. IJN got brave near Midway, and sailed into death, 1-turn, bye-bye.
Since I figured Pacific was safe, spiced it up some. Turned the Royal Navy, really Royal. Experience Mined, the Carriers and surface ships on Norway. Same with Bombers. Built Western Nation Air Power. Interesting enough, the Germans spent tons of cash into Fighters, which were found to be level-4. In the West, I don't think I even had ground units until 1944. All Air and Naval.
Germans bogged in Russia. My Opponent wanted to play it out. Early 1945, Berlin was liberated too.
Game #225 [LOSS] ElvisJJonesRambo (Axis) vs llo4Tu (Allies) --- Got MMP to death. Allies went all-in France, I had a reasonable campaign there. But stupidity, went to Egypt. Spent tons of MMPs, got stopped at the gates of the Pyramids. Was way too expensive. Didn't have enough powder for Russia.
Japan spent to much money on Technology. Complete waste. When I lose, it's buying too many toys or always Africa. Lost on MMPs. Russia was loaded with cash.

Elvis how long do these games usually take? Are you playing more than one turn a day?

How long, just depends.Chernobyl wrote: Tue Nov 26, 2024 7:10 pm Elvis how long do these games usually take? Are you playing more than one turn a day?
Against llo4Tu, I surrendered in 1943. Axis spent too much in Africa, was losing on MMPs against Russia, who probably had more and continually was doing exchanges, which Germans cannot afford. The other game, we went the distance, was 1945 when Berlin and Rome fell.
Or do you mean in real time. Ah, once the game gets going good, turns take longer, 1 turn/day on average. Players seem to do the French Campaign fast if we're online same time or on Holiday.
Brother, remember this. Tomorrow is a Long Time, when you want that next turn. Elvis explains it in this song written by Bob Dylan.

Game #225 [DQ] ElvisJJonesRambo (Axis) vs UmeU (Allies) --- British DOW in late 1941 on Thailand, and attack on Japan forces, game over. Not allowed. Too bad, game was about ready to start.

Game #226 [WIN] ElvisJJonesRambo (Allies) vs Firsteds (Axis) --- Long and winding road to victory. Took to Summer 1946 for Berlin to be captured. Japan didn't go until early 1946. USA morale was awful, game was nearly lost. Yanks were as low as 15%, British 38%.
Early game, went heavy France, with the British suiciding units/air/etc to slow the Nazi invasions. Went well. Russia was quite happy with the help in early game.
Then it went bad. Yanks brought a large force towards Tunisia. Only problem, right before I was gonna land, the Italians/Gerrys took it. Massive trap. Royal Navy / Yanks weren't real strong yet, had to deal with endless U-boats West of the Rock, and had to land Western Algeria, wasn't fun. Matter of fact, Algeria near fell. I left it.
Spent alot of MMPs on Turkey diplo. Royal Navy and special forces did take Norway, not sure were it got the Allies much.
In the Pacific the Japs held alot of *key ground, which destroyed Yankee morale.
Game was won by Russia. They held important areas since Western Allies were so suicidal. Reds had enough MMPs to exchange.
Great game, felt out played really, despite winning.

Game #227 [WIN] ElvisJJonesRambo (Axis) vs El Condoro (Allies) --- Axis won this game on MMPs. Allowing the advantage in the Middle East going unchecked, soon Turkey and Spain fell. Italy and Germany locked down Mediterranean Front, the MMPs were incredible. Eventually, Russia and China went down, then England. The USA folded on their own, cameback to life and we called it a game.

Game #229[WIN] ElvisJJonesRambo (Axis) vs Jonny25k(Allies) --- Played this one months ago, didn't post. Axis pushed back the Allies. Game timed out, with no return turns. Jonny25k had some other priorities, but this one was looking solid. Offered rematch, finally able to get my messages.
Game #230[WIN] ElvisJJonesRambo (Axis) vs Azhraden(Allies) --- Been awhile, since I played. Allies got too predictable, in MedFront & using Diplo. Was able to wear them down, get lots of MMPs thru Spain/Turkey. Pacific, the Japs gave the Yanks problems for half of Hawaii. China was thumped.

Re: Elvis Gold Records
Dearest United States, happy birthday to you.
Special time in history, to be alive.
Sparking all my Yankee, smack jive.
I've lived the dream with freedom full.
Despite some decision and Devil's pull.
Best of youthful joys, riding my bike so free.
Forgetting not the branch of my Family Tree.
My G-Pops, Dad & Uncles fought 3 in a row.
Was Mom & Aunts taught scripture, kept peace in tow.
United States, Western Law is best, enjoy your 249 spins.
Earthly kingdom's will fade, born to grace takes the win.
Behold the Stars & Stripes, you still have Ol' Glory,
Eventually it all crashes, and we worship His story.
Forever,
-Legend

Salute, another Legend.
Diamond Dustin Poirier, retires.
Amazing to nearly beat Max.
Max Holloway's combinations are so fast & effective
Went out standing.
His fight card, so solid. Top notch.
Meanwhile, in Ireland, the most boring Superstar, should lift the trophy tomorrow.
