I'm personally not currently working on the missions for the upcomng BSG static campaign. From what I know... the initial campaign missions will be primarily using the smaller craft ie fighters/Attack etc.

Please be patient. Rest assured, I am doing my part to bring the BSG mod to you. Toshiro is slaving away at things too. To do a quality job takes time. Quality is what we want to present. We have a lot of things we want to do. Like adding new and unique cockpit models to selected craft.

I forwarded, at Toshiros request, copies of my Cartel static campaign missions for reference and possible adaptation. My efforts thusfar have been directed to ship texture upgrades. Once that is more or less completed... I'll offer my assistance in other areas.

I'd like to be able to include unique voice sounds for BSG. Maybe music from the series to set the proper mood.

If anybody out there knows where we can obtain BSG music let me know. As you can see... we want to create a good mod.

Also, I still have work to do on my Cartel mod. So many projects and still only 24 hours in a day. It doesn't seem fair does it?

I did a quick search and found a few sites with some free mp3s of B5 themes , (seasons 1-5) and a few instrumentals...mostly voiceovers though...maybe something that's useable??

www.babylonsounds.com

I found many sites offering the complete soundtrack as well, but not for a cheap price.

I have a few other places I know to look...if I find anything I will pass them along...

keep up the great work!

Thanks Zanthras... but Babylon 5 sounds won't blend with Battlestar Galactica. [;)]

Pretty good B5 sound site though.

Another view. What do you guys think? I know it is modern(current) looking but the detail is great.

The probematic part in using these graphics is actually getting the games HUD screens to display. I haven't delved into building the simulations new cockpit types. Something else to learn I guess.

I have the mini-series movie,1st and 2nd season on dvd for battlestar galactica. So I'll have my wife ripout some images, fighter, cockpit, pilot etc. And some sounds as well.

In regards to B5,also have that series on dvd so we can hopefully work with that too.

The cockpit isn't the same but looks verygood. Can you take visual images from the show and use them?

Actually all u have to do is just change the pilot head (ie helmet) and change the texture of the uniform into the bsg one.

Perhaps some voice sound clips could be useful from the B5 series. I really like that series.

We could use good visual images to help create or modify our graphics to look like the series cockpits. With a lot of work that is. They would provide a good reference.

[:)]  Hey wdboyd   good looking screens.
Hows the ships coming along?  Can you send those to me? I can foward to Badger so we can stay uptodate with the ships.  Might get mixed up with the older versions.

Can you also send me that cockpit? Is it in 3ds or already in mag format?  I believe the MDF's are tied to the material name.

hmm should this topic be moved to the modding forum?

Hi..

is it possible to create a "mini-Mod" which only replaces the Archon-Model with a Galactica Model?
If yes...would someone be so kind and make it available for Download?
Thanks in advance...

Salutations,

Of course it is possible. That's one great things about Starshatter. One can pretty much mod anything with time and effort and a bit of knowledge.

I don't have a deffed Galactica yet. It would need to be deffed for the Starshatter campaign too. [;)]

that is good news!

as I mentioned in another thread I have been fooling with another option. A site similar to grouper, but your talking about an actual site! Now that would be cool!

The last real big one was Starshatter Central, over 500 members and nearly every mod under the sun...missions, ships, tutorials...everything. It was a major loss of carefully complied info when it went...

but things are looking up!

Thanks wdboyd!
