Iron Bottom Sound Wrecks

Scroll down to page 19. I believe this is second only to Truk lagoon in the number of military wrecks in one general location. The French fleet at Toulon surpasses both, but that was intentional scuttling by the crew, and some ships were later raised.

Edit: it appears the map has an error, in that it shows the Kinagusa as hvaing sunk just off Lunga point, when Combined Fleet lists it going down off Rendova Island.

Thanks, Kingfisher. I'd love to dive on these wrecks at some point and photograph them. There's a lot of history down there

The only problem I had w/ Thin Red Line was some of the casting. Travolta was a terrible choice. Nolte questionable at best. Cusack as the young West Point grad was a stretch too. Good film.

All of Malik's movies have a rambling internal monoloque kind of structure. You either like it or you don't.

Agree 100% about Travolta playing that character.
