Hi Graham, I did some research and the only thing I can find out is in the manual to the in-game editor. It states that Japanese ships must be in slots 1-171, and 501-1199, while Allied ships must use slots 172-499 and 1200-1999. I don´t know how many of those slots are already taken, but it looks like you have a way to go before you reach the limit. But please feel free to give it a try! [:D]

Here's a link to download the map and wpohex files - the maps go into the WPO ART folder, the wpohex.dat file goes into the main WPO folder, and will overwrite the regular files - you should do a separate install and call it somethiing else (War in the West maybe) or make sure you back up the regular maps and wpohex file. It's still a work in progress - I am going to begin working on my mod again so I will start updatng my progress on my thread.

http://cid-861828141d04fcef.skydrive.li ... the%20West

The scenario that I have been working on is in the SCEN folder - unzip it into the WPO SCEN folder. It will appear as Scenario 198 in the list. If you have read all the way through my thread you will know that I am doing an alternate history scenario where Germany/UK/Austria-Hungary are allied against France/Russia/US. For your scenario, you will need to go into the scenario using WITPEditor X or the WPO Editor and change the ownership of the British/UK Bases to the Allies. I have not done any work on the naval forces yet. I have done a fair bit of work on the land forces but I am now planning to change them over from mostly Div sized formations to mostly Corps sized formations. Again, you would need to move all of the British forces into Allied slots if you wanted to use them.

Feel free to use the files andmodify them in any way you like. BTW, the files are self-extracting WinRAR files.

Thanks very much Dave! I´ve downloaded the files and now all I need to do is find some free time to start playing around with them. Maybe I should send my wife shopping.

By the way is there a capacity limit to the art files for War Plan Orange, there are a great many ship classes I would like to add,but don't no if the files have a maximum limit ?[&:]

Try adding classes rather than replacing them.

There are 15 (3 countries x 5 upgrade paths) preset routes for an AK to upgrade. If you replace one of those, you can give AK a choice to become, say, a battleship ;) The game engine does not like that too much.

Can't remember them off top of my head, but they are easy to spot. For USN and IJN, just check what an AK can become, and don't move / delete those options. For Commonwealth it's trickier, as there is no in-game way to upgrade a Commonwealth AK. However, their paths are very similar to USN.

Hi Rysyonok, good to see you around :)

I think Graham means class in the sense of a group of ships built to the same design (e.g. Iowa class battleships, etc) rather than the WPO meaning of types of ships.

Do you know what the limit is to the number of ships you can have in the game?

Thanks Graham, can´t wait to see her in action (I hope she gets a few shots off before she goes under!). I will include her as a bonus in the next High Seas Fleet installment.

So I just made a quick scenario where I sent Braunschweig unescorted to Manila, and sure enough, when she was in the periscope view the pink showed up. I seem to recall reading something about this somewhere on the forum, but I am not sure where. What process did you use when you made the shils? I wonder if it is a layering problem. Rysyonok may have an idea

Do you have a screenshot so I can see what happened exactly?

I always use the game's shade of pink for my shils.

Hi Tex,
I have been getting an unusual problem with my Shil art,it is still displayed as pink around the ship while within the blue combat screen, have not had this prob before any ideas whats going on,don't know if it's just a glitch with my pc graphics, are they appearing ok in your game?

I have not done anything different from the art I done for the 40 British Pre-dreadnoughts I added months ago they are fine, this is weird no doubt I will figure it out.[&:]

Sounds like the Shil files got renamed as Back files and placed in Back directories... is the pink a perfect rectangle or is it an aura?

Hi Tex,
You can send any art I create to anyone you want to the more the better,The German navy should have been in the database from the start of the games release, the Nation with the second largest fleet during world war 1 should have been made available as a stock what if scenario in my humble opinion.

I think Tankerace was working on this for the 1.3 patch or a later one, it just never made it that far.

It was a rectangle, so the game was not picking up the fact the pink should be invisible. I checked and the pink was the exact same color as in the game. In the end I just cut out the ship and pasted it onto a blank shil created from one of the shils from the original game. Very weird problem, still don´t know what caused it.

Didn´t I read somewhere that all the art work for the ill-fated 1.3 patch disappeared when a computer crashed?
