I did this in one game against the AI and they ran into Nagato and Fuso at Kuching. The British couldn't hit anything, and the Japanese couldn't miss with their big guns or their torpedoes, so it was a suicide mission anyway![8|]

No enemy air raids on Singapore... odd also Dan pulled back his fleet to cover his transports loading up after this strange invasion. Well i could go in guns blazing but decided against it just now... so my ships were pulled back 3 hexes south and will await further developments. Also Dan's carriers got lost... wonder where they went...
On the other hand i send in 5 subs to intercept Dan ships maybe i will get lucky.

In 3 of 4 days will commence my offensive action... i wonder if Dan's Carriers are still around Wake or went home...

I have noticed colour shifting in the allied mines on screen too - thought it was something in my graphics card.
By shifting the screen left/right and up/down the mines will sometimes change to each one of the Allied colours - and the Japanese red! That was how I first noticed it - when a place I had swept of IJN mines suddenly was showing more but I couldn't sweep them.

Never noticed colour shift in the subs though! Maybe NZ won some in a poker game!

His red is turned up so high it is bleeding ;] That is darkening the green to an almost blue. Contrast difference with his monitor.

Malaya/DEI

7th was quiet while on the 8th enemy fighters sweept Singapore and achived 3 to 2 kill ratio... well that is bad but i don't really care since i killed around 20 Oscars with their experienced pilots[:D] will continue tomorrow this time with some hurricanes around[:D] Well Dan landed on the island becouse he forgot to set do not unload on his TF[:)] well i think he is all loaded up now... so time for my attack has come... will gamble a bit:
- both surface TF's will go in set to pass Singkawang on their way in so if Dan will send his forces to invade they should bump right into my ships
- would have sent in the A-24's to Kuching with some fighters but the supply level at the base is probably to small... will have to dubble check that[:)]
I could just send my ships away but if i will be able to damage Dan's forces he will be more catious and the longer he is sitting in the DEI the more time i have to strenghten PM and Pacific Bases.
18th Division is at Palambang now so i hope Dan will be suprised as hell when he will land there in the future.
I was able to haul a good deal of Fuel from Palambang to Darwin as this is my next designated submarine base.
Well Dan will land at Singkawang no matter what i do so i might as well try to hit him now as the battle will happen anyway and im not going to hold back now as he might finally notice that my LBA sucks a big time and send his CV's before surface groups...

Thanks for the input guy's yes Dan forces were positioned to protect his transports... as for the color i don't know why Paint tones the color down when i save the image... normaly the color is brighter.
I did played with the nation colors... Ind - purple , Brit - brown , Aus - dark green , NZ - light green , US - blue , FR - light blue , Dutch - orange

DD Sagiri is the first real japanese ship sunk by my subs of Kuching... few attacks and as always they missed.

DEI/Malaya

ABDA strike forces went in... Losses on my side are CA Canberra and Australia sunk toghether with CL Achilles and 6 Destroyers... but the mission was a succes!!!!! My CA force first encountered Haruna and Kongo with a CL and 4 DD's thats when Canberra bought it while Australia and Achilles got shoot up, then my CL force run into Dan's transport with CL Tama and Oi as escorts with 4 DD's and a DMS his escorts did a good job as only few shells landed on japanese transports but Tama severly damaged while DD Michishio and DMS were damnaged, Next up was the biggest suprise... my light cruiser force runed right into Dan's Carriers!!!!!! and again Dan was lucky as i was able to put some shell's into Kaga and Ryujo... but nothing serious... i now know that KAGA and AKAGI are in the DEI... up next damaged Australia and Achilles blundered into Atago and Taka with a CL and 3 DD's well the outcome was to be expected both of my cruisers were sunk with 4 escorting DD's but i damaged CL Kashii and 3 of Dan's destroyers... But it ended with the light cruiser force attacking Dan's transports again this time it happend during the day and the results show DD Stronghold recived heavy damage but Dan's TF was shoot to pices only 3 DD's escaped unharmed while rest of the ships recived damage!!!! There were few small skirmishes during the day and my light cruiser force lost a DD but im happy with the results!!!
My surface ships made good of their escape... now i wonder if Dan will try to send his carriers south but after such bloody nose he will probably fall back to reorganize[:D][:D]

Nice work, well planned and executed. I'm curious to see how much this will slow Dan's next assaults, and then the next question is: do you have enough left to keep a good SCTF threat in the area?

Ok done my turn and sent it to Dan... well he claimed my move was suciadal... well i explained him he was mistaken[:)] any way looks like most of his TF's are going twards Cam Rahn Bay... no landings took place... hmmmm odd. There are some surface TF's close to Singkawang but i think those are just warships...

As for ABDA fleet... it's current composition CVL Hermes, CA Exeter, 6x CL (but Tromp is a more like DD) and 22 Tin Cans... all ready to go as soon as they will be refueled at Soreboja[:D][:D][:D] I have one additional CL damaged but i don't think i will be able to repair it a Soreboja. Also CV Indomitable with 3 additional DD's is around 10 days away.
When i started to hit Dan in the DEI should have packed everything that survived Pearl and send it to DEI... with PAC fleet here i would not just give Dan another bloody nose but totaly massacre his fleet[:D][:D][:D][:D]

Pacific is quiet... i will hit Marshalls soon... now that i know where Kaga and Akagi are i can move in since even if Dan is keeping his remaining carriers close to Wake it will be 4 on 4 and those are the odds i can easly take...

Well got lots of attacks but either misses and dud’s but i got lucky twice... My subs patrolling off Saigon sunk a DD Michishio and a big troop transport Mizucho Maru both of which were earlier damaged off Kuching... But there is a potentially sad news uncovered by my subs. A sub patrolling of Kwaelejn Atoll attacked and missed on a big AG(?) ship... is it possible that Dan got a sniff of what i’m planning... well it looks like i will have to wait and see.

Malaya/DEI
Ok i don’t know what to make of this... Dan landed some units in Mersing on the cost of Malaya... why is he doing that??? All my combat troops are now in either Johore Bahru or in Singapore itself and with the airfields of N Malaya in his hands he’s recon planes should have picked that up... well in any case my planes from Palambang went in on with the help of a few A-24’s on the 11th but they were only able to hit one APD... Japanese planes made a heavy raid on Singapore... will meet it tomorrow with all iv got. Also there is a large concentration of Japanese shipping just off Singkawang this time i was able to spot a TF with BB Fuso in it with the Kongo&Haruna group that makes a big concentration of firepower... also Dan’s carriers were spotted in the area too... wonder if its Kaga and Akagi or maybe rest of the KB showed up. If so that is so much better for me... Palambang now has nearly 600 AV worth of units with lvl 3 fort!

My strike groups arrived at Soreboja... well few days and they are ready to go but with another bunch of Dan’s BB’s in the area i don’t think i can do much damage. Will try of course.

Maybe it’s time for another B-17 visit to Saigon... this time will fly them from Rangoon if i have the range...
And i have 10 submarines off Singkawang will try to hunt for some big game!!!

Well my Carrier TF’s are like 3 days away from the Marshalls will commence with Port attack on Kwaelejn Lagoon... while 6 heavy cruisers are bound for Wake in 3 days !

Well as for now i have confirmation of sinking 2 japanese CL’s the Tama and Kashii and a DD but CL Oi and couple of other Japanese Tin Cans were shoot up pretty bad so they may sink while RTB... any way it was worth it!

AG Taisoku Maru was sunk off Miri today, also one of my subs patroling off Cam Rhan Bay got a fish into a big AK Tosan Maru... the follow up attack turned DUD[:@][:@][:@]

Malaya/DEI

GREAT SINGAPORE TURKEY SHOOT happend today as Japanese bombers tryed to attack Singers... well my fighters put up a good fight... while losing 0 PLANES i was able to down 28 Sally's 11 Lily's and 5 Oscars!!!!!![:D] [:D][:D][:D] thats 44 to nil for me[X(][X(][X(] It looks like Dan is going for Palambang[:-][:-][:-] many surface TF's were spotted heading there between Borneo and Sumatra... i will not send my surface fleet its to risky now... will use submarines to intercept. Dutch LBA bought it today as it valiantly tryed to hit Dan's ships heading for Palambang... 33 Martins shoot down for no hits.
Well that was to be expected.
Dutch LBA is doomed from the begining as i can't move it out of the DEI.
Now i need to plan what to do next... Fighters will remain at Singapore as they can easly reach Batavia if i need to evac them at some point. Subs will be sent to intercept enemy shipping off Palambang.
I would love to see Dan's face when he realizes that there is entire British Division weaiting for him[:D]

Well got lucky CL Yura was sunk torpedod off Palambang and the sunk retireing[:D] my first big ship sunk. Well my subs are not doing much damage at the moment... foulty torpedos and lack of radar but that will change in few months...

Malaya/DEI

Oscar sweeps took their toll on my fighters in Singapore so i need to pull them back and replenish my numbers. My LBA attacks on Dan invasion force were ineffective at best... well those Dutch and British fellows can't hit anything. Dan BB's hit Batavia but the damage was light... now i spotted another big TF heading that way. So i pulled everything back from there.
Well i think it is time to pull my surface assets from Soreboja... they did enough good there[:)] Dan's LBA from Jolo are hitting my tankers hauling fuel from Belikapapan so they need to fall back too... i think after the bloody nose i gave him he will be cautius in the theater. Dan landed a brigade of troops with some arty in Palambang he was might surprised when he encountered a whole division there[:D][:D][:D]

6 US Heavy cruisers bombed Wake... and sunk some off ships there unloading or something... Also 4 US CV's raided Kwaelejn for minimal losses i sunk 4 subs 3 patrol boats and damaged numerous other craft... will redo the attack tomorrow.
Dan has lots of work now so turns are slower
