I'm comforted that you were given the time to make arrangements for all your four-legged charges and other responsibilities.

Fell and broke my right femur and am in Pacific Rehab at Noblesville, Indiana. Should be a couple ofweeks before I go home to the aapartment my kids seem up for me. We are constantly working on the brain cancer to keep me sane and rational.I am good right now but meds are adjusted constantly. We are only working to maintain quality of life and hospice care. No chemo or radiation. My cancer is terminal no idea how long I have. Just glad to have this time with the grandchildren
.

RE: Rhondalynn's Cancer Thread
Rhonda...I too am in Indy...I was diagnosed with Neuroendicrine Carcinoma in 2013, stage 3b and inoperable..Throat and both lungs and "30 to 40" lymph nodes,(quoting the Dr.).
Of course when he said "inoperable", I thought the reaper had finally caught up...but without batting an eye he then said "So, we are going to start radiation daily to burn it out, (as you know).
Well...they did burn it out, and while I only have 35% of my lungs remaining, I still have a quality of life, and of course still get regular CT scans and I see my Oncologist this Friday.
As far as I am concerned, that Canadian gentleman is a true miracle worker.
He is Dr Peter Garrett at St Francis, Indy campus,(Stop 11) just off south I 65 by Greenwood.
I'm just convinced its' not over till HE is ready for us, and I hope HE is not ready for you yet.
If I can help you, PM me and I will contact you....Bob
P.S...Regardless of age you are fully qualified for social security disability and they can help with the costs.

Hello Rhonda,
I'm not on here as often as the others, but glad to hear you are still fighting on. Shame about the ranch, but I hope you do have as much time with the loved ones as possible.

Still in rehabilitation at Prairie Village facility in at Noblesville IN. About ready to pull me and take me home. Can walk with difficulty and a walker for support. Full rehabilitation could take longer than I have left to live. Prefer to spend it with family not therapists.

That is the best thing you can do, the time spent with the family is something that will create fond and also sad memories that will remain for a very long time. But more than often a smile will be the memory that lingers the most and the longest.
Take care of yourself and remain as strong as you can, for as long as possible.

RE: Rhondalynn's Cancer Thread
Realizing how weak I am overall. I've gotten some real arm strength developed, but in general am kinda weak and wobbly just to stand and walk around. THree weeks confined to a wheel chair does that to you.
Taking great care not to push things and get into trouble.
I cannot afford another injury from a bump or fall.
Working on software updates this afternoon.
