LVI Corps has Panzer divisions with 20 MP. XXXXI Corps has four motorized divisions with 40-49 MP after HQ buildup. The goal is of course to cut off all the divisions in the Leningrad area by capturing the supply ports and linking up with the Fins.

A nasty counterattack at Vyazma routes two mobile divisions. They did not recover and have to take a break. XXXXVI Corps has divisions with 40, 41, 41, and 42 MP but is low on supplies. XXXIX Corps does HQ buildup.

XXXXI Corps has 50, 48, 48, 47 MP (all motorized)
LVI Corps has 26, 26, 24, 29 MP
Path to Kirishi doesn't have much in the way
I railed the transports from AGC to the north. Normal fuel delivery now to LVI and XXXXI Corps. LVI has 450 and XXXXI has 520 at the end of turn.

Panzer and motorized divisions break through and cut off the city. Next turn they will push to the remaining supply port for Leningrad and try to link up with the Fins. Three Russian armies are trapped.

LVII with 32, 31 after moderate use last turn
Infantry with basically 50% supply
One motorized division did not recover after routing. Will use XXXXVII Corps as mobile reserve
Direct route to Moscow through Mozhaysk - Naro-Fminsk gap
FZ are built in front of Moscow. A clear sign of desperation. XII Corps, VII Corps and VIII Corps are doing the heavy lifting now. They all have 85+ infantry divisions with pioneers.
1 HQ Buildup with XXXXVII Corps

No more fuel tricks in the center because I moved all transports north for the attack on Leningrad.

I'm pushing hard towards the Crimea with XXX Corps (3 pioneers in divisions) and Romanians. The land bridge is not fully fortified.

I'm able to break through the line north of Kharkov and send one Panzer division with 50 MP towards Voronezh which is unoccupied. Industry is still in the city. The three remaining Panzer divisions of that Corps stay behind and do an HQ buildup. They will have 200% fuel next turn. Kharkov is encircled with two divisions.

I'm able to break through the land bridge. First a deliberate attack with 6 divisions and then a hasty attack against weak resistance with three German divisions.

I'd like to see you play Axis Vs MichaelT. Would make for a good test of game balance.

Can you explain how please?
What I usually do is place a weak regiment in each of the adjacent coastal hexes with two junk units on top. I think that would work although an uber gamer might be able to counter-counter-game my counter-gameyness :)
