Nov/Dec 1939, once around the map.

Europe

The Germans still need to take out Denmark and bring back all the troops in Poland for the assault on the Lowlands.

Italy

Italy and the Commonwealth are at war, so those Italian convoys are very vulnerable.

Manchuria

The USSR acts threateningly - on their side of the border.

Northern China

Here the Chinese are about to suffer the consequences of their rash advance. But it will take the Japanese some effort to turn on the 2-4 Cav and 4-3 Inf behind them. The Axis is moving first - perfect weather world-wide.

Southern China

The Chinese have hurried some reinforcements to the south and their front line looks much better now.

Last in series.

Bessarabia

The USSR put a lot of units on the border and the Germans ceded Bessarabia without a fight. Now those units need to redeploy.

In both my games: against C, who is playing the Axis, and Z, who is playing the Allies, we have reached roughly the middle of Sep/Oct 1940.

C has burnt the two German O-Chits on attacks in Belgium and has only taken 2 hexes of France.

Against Z, I have burnt both of the German O-Chits in the Ukraine and the Axis is pushing on past the Don. But Belgium is still neutral, which means France and the Commonwealth are building units freely.

I thought you might like seeing the contrast in German builds between the two game. Note that the losses for both sides are mostly comparable. C has sent a lot of build points to Italy for air units. I have starved Italy of BPs in my game (the Germans have a two front war to fight!).

Note that as the Axis I have spent BPs on offensive units. Part of the BPS difference is that I have brought the Axis minor countries into the war and taken their air units off the map so the Germans could gain extra pilots.

EDIT: What I forgot to mention is that the screenshots are of the German Force Pools. So these show what HAS NOT been built.

I wonder how you can continue a netplay game? I'm stuck in all three of them, due to problems with build points disappearing. Restoring autosaves doesn't do the trick for us at all and is resulting in Mad Excepts.

I would like to know your work arounds.

For Build Points - I keep a careful eye on what Production Planning says there should be and reconfirm it when the Production phase arrives. Setting a default destination for Trade resources going into Production seems to help. I also make sure to Recompute as the last thing I do in Final Production. If all else fails, I use Debug to create any missing Build Points; before Production is best but after Production just means any missing BP(s) arrive(s) the next turn.

The US Entry Pools are pathetic: 3/1 chits in the Ge/It Entry/Tension Pools, and 4/0 in the Ja Pools.

In the game where I am the Axis, Z has 7/3 in the Ge/It and 3/3 in the Ja Pools.

Both games are in the same turn (Sep/Oct 1940)!

I wish that were not one of the good points about the axis positions, though I do like the total number of axis nav points available in the med.
