In the center, Comrades, you can see that, again, the enemy is reduced to slogging forward against the unbreakable wall of our Proletarian will! In the southern part of this front there is yet again opportunities for counter attack. Our losses are heavy but, again, we can hope that we are wearing out his formations and hold him until revolution sweeps the industrial countries of Europe!

[lots and lots of soviet dead. A few German divisions roughly handled but no other dead ones since we killed the panzer division about 4 turns ago. And, there has only been one instance of rain in one part of the front for one turn for the entire game. If September is just as dry it's going to be tough.]

As you know Comrades, treason infested our southern front. An important army retreated away from its HQ in the Crimea and was cut off and destroyed piecemeal. That commander, lucky for him, died o the field of battle. I can't say that his family has been any luckier. For some reason, the Dnepr serves as no hindrance to the Capitalists. Perhaps they employ some foul method of class warfare like not having supply rules apply to them. But, they bay about their victories in vain as the dialectic insures our ultimate victory.

[Seriously, the Germans, whenever I can see them, are always at 100% supply even across the Dneipr with no bridge. I'm not sure if anyone is reading this but if a developer or designer is, what gives? Is the German AI free from the supply rules? In any event, I've put a garrison in Sevastopol but my plan to hold the city for any length of time is doomed. I have a few armies but the reinforcement well is now dry with nothing for the next 12 turns. We need rain!]

Even though traitors lost Tallinn still the ever victorious army of workers and peasants fights on. Rain has come to part of our motherland and that should slow down the Nazi stooges and their supply lines [at least we hope that it does]. They continue to slog through the forests and we continue to extract a pound of flesh from them for each kilometer they advance!

More rain in the center Comrades that again, should reduce the fascist supply flows. And, our generals inform me that there is an opportunity to smite one of the hated panzer divisions. You can rest assured that our glorious red army will strike swift and it will strike hard!

The south comrades, the south, that is the source of our greatest danger. Only rain near Rostov and our units are tired with little in the way of defensive terrain. Even worse, fresh armies will be hard to come by down there as we only have one more in the pipeline. Rostov is in serious danger. Comrades of the Politburo, will you help me defend Rostov to the death! YES COMRADE STALIN!!!

Comrades, clearly a traitor saved the picture of the southern front and caused the last report to show the central front. The entire upload department has been send to a labor camp to remind them of their proletarian duties. Members of the Politburo, do you approve? YES COMRADE STALIN. DEATH TO CRIMINAL UPLOADERS!!!

Comrades! It's true that I had yet another paranoid episode but who wouldn't when Karkov falls with barely a fight? [:-] We are going to win this war if I have to shoot each and every one of you myself! Do you understand me! YES COMRADE STALIN!

[FYI, each time Stalin gets paranoid he shoots one more army general and, unfortunately, he picks on the good ones. We're up to five dead generals!]

In the north, the huns continue to advance slowly and bleed for every kilometer that they take. The terrain of our beloved homeland slows them down and allows our men to dig in and extract a heavy toll from the invaders.

In the center I sense a weakening of the enemy spirit. I predict that they will not make it to Moscow and the capital of the world wide revolution will be safe! Members of the Politburo what is your reaction? ALL HONOR TO COMRADE STALIN AND HIS MIGHTY DEFENSE OF OUR CAPITAL!

And Comrades, on the southern part of the central front we have a little surprise waiting for our foe. You'll see here that Politburo staff have highlighted our army that I have ordered to assume an offensive posture. The foolish Germans have advance right next to them and they are about to be subject to repeated hammer blows and driven back!

Oy, but on the Voronezh front I wish that religion was not the opiate of the masses because I really feel like praying for rain right now.

COMRADE STALIN STAY STRONG AND LEAD US TO TRIUMPH!

I will comrades I will. It's just that we could use a little dialectical intervention right about now.

[There are no reinforcements and we can run away fast enough so the divisions are ground down more and more causing little loss to the Germans. It's grim, very grim].

Fortunately Comrades, I had the foresight to place Marshall Zhukov and a fresh army with entrenchments at Rostov. We are holding the line there as the fascist drones attack tentatively if at all. If we can hold Rostov until the mud there will be at least a few reinforcements. I've also ordered a new army to arrive in the south rather than the center, but it won't be available for nearly two weeks. Members of the Politburo, do you approve? YES COMRADE STALIN!

And, Savastopol still holds at least ten divisions at bay!

Finally comrades, spies deep within the German war ministry have revealed to us that Hitler won't believe that he has won his foolish gamble unless he takes any one of Leningrad, Moscow, or Rostov. Like a typical capitalist, he can't make up his mind so he wants it all! But he will never taste victory, he will only taste the bitter tears of his defeat. Members of the Politburo, what say you? LEAD US TO VICTORY COMRADE STALIN. CRUSH THE HUN!

Now I must ponder.

[I'm not sure if the German as a computer always chooses military independence but it's pretty clear that I"m going to need to cling to Rostov to win this game. Unfortunately, all of the reinforcements come in the center. If the Germans take Rostov I get a month to retake it but there won't be much to retake it with. If I can hold on I can shift reinforcements down there and my month will start running in the winter when the Germans are in much worse shape.]

Comrades! You will be pleased to know that I am not feeling as paranoid today! ALL HAIL GENERALISSIMO STALIN AND HIS LACK OF PARANOIA!

I also am pleased to report no attacks on the northern front this turn. Clearly the Hitlerite scum have broken their teeth on our defenses and even now cower in the holes dreading the vengeance of the Red Army! As long as we hold the two towns on the front lines the Finnish hirelings are unlikely to advance on sacred Leningrad. We bide our time and strike like a bear when the snows start to fall. Members of the Politburo, do you agree? YES COMRADE STALIN!

In the northern portion of the central front, the see saw battle continues. We continue to take losses but my sources tell me our men die smiling with the name Stalin on their lips. AS WOULD WE COMRADE STALIN!

Our sources among the workers dragooned into Hitler's pirate army have let us know that that two, and perhaps even three of his panzer divisions are weakened by our heroes and may be ripe for counter attacks. Time is not on the hun's side here in the center. Not at all!
