My book arrived. It's well worth the weight and money. Well done, Matrix and 2by3 team.

Blame it on the French trying to frustrate UK exports because of Brexit. :)

Ordered the game and manual on March 2, still have not gotten an email that my manual has shipped yet. Not very happy at this point in time.

EvilSix, Please seek urgent medical advice.

My apologies, sorry but it's all down to off the cuff workplace banter.

Thanks for nothing

Quick question: I ordered the game (digital) as soon as I could and I'm happily playing it (great game), but I'm now thinking about getting the manual as well. I know that I'll have to wait a while and I'm fine with that, but how do I go about it? I don't have to buy a second deluxe version, do I? I mean, I only need one copy of the actual game :)

I got my book... A corner was crushed from the shipment, someone in postal had to have dropped the package. Also have a dent in the front top right side panel :( Non-box shipment from Europe to United States going to have problems and the bubble wrap didn't save the book :(

The shipping to North America was definitely better when they had a warehouse over here. All of my previous hardcovers came well boxed and padded, and arrived in perfect condition when that was the case. I would imagine boxing them for overseas transport would have made the shipping costs even more cost prohibitive. That said, I was fortunate with my shipment this time, as I only had one dinged corner that I was able to bend back in reasonable condition. I could definitely see the potential for a less desirable condition with the current packing method, though, as HardLuck seems to have encountered.

My entire shipping envelope was in shreds when it got to my door but thankfully the bubble wrap preserved the rest. Not surprised to hear that you guys had some dings and dents, however, I got super lucky. They man handled that package during shipping.....

What I'm impressed with on the entire War in the East 2 package is that for roughly 140 US - I'm out the door cheaper with a game AND this impressive hardbound manual - - for cheaper than buying a college text book. This is 2021 and I'm getting all this?!
And 40 of the above is shipping. The outlay isn't that far off from the old days of SPI and GDW/GRD for a same scope game considering that's 30-45 years ago and this is a starship compared to those old ox carts! Well done Matrix and 2 by 3.

Book Arrived Damaged

Post by chrisdrost »

My book arrived today in an envelope damaged. For what I paid for shipping I'm surprised and disappointed that is was not shipped in a box. Excellent game but the book was a waste of my money.

Just received mine.

A really small dent on the top right corner but really nothing major.

I started going through it and can't put it down [:)]

Thank you all for your incredible work

Received my "encyclopedia set" yesterday. After spending my "game time" on War in the East 1 staring blankly at the screen, I decided to try War in the East 2 - warily, but the screenshots looked more inviting than its predecessor. With the arrival of this massive & beautiful manual, I should be able to have all my questions answered and finally learn to play a game that has such wide acclaim.
