The UK invades Italy and takes two size 1 ports. Sadly for the Allies this will not bring a major reaction.

Moscow will fall next turn. For once the Luftwaffe will not be involved (6 AA guns).

The UK goes on the offensive but Auckinleck is killed. I'm not extremely worried but I don't think we can hold forever.

Moscow falls. If we do go on the offensive in 42 it will be to take Yaroslavl and cut the rail to Leningrad.
Already troops are being transferred west.

In a surprise attack (including 2 paratroopers) the Allies seize Amsterdam. This, of course, will require a major reaction.
But the forces are available, with heavy rain all over the east front we will send as much force as rail allows.

The British also attack at Tobruk, but a counter-attack shatters one infantry corps.

There is one corner of the eastern front which is unaffected by the weather, so we make some small moves here.
German production has now caught up with upgrades, next we are building at least two interceptors. Unlike many German players I fully intend to contest Allied air superiority in this game.
Note that the Soviet air force is already extremely depleted.

The UK invades Olbia, Sardinia.

At Tobruk we push back a corps. There is still some minor action in the east as we organize our lines and push ever so slightly towards Yaroslavl.

Winter has come and things settle down. We build a third interceptor, which will give us 6 German and 1 Italian interceptors to use against the Western Allies, while still covering the entire eastern front.
Next up: more infantry.

It has not been a quiet winter, the Soviets have been pushing forwards and attacking in Blizzard and Snow, forcing us back to the rail lines.
I'd estimate they are taking two times our casaulties but it's still not really to our advantage.
As the weather clears, we go on a minor counter-offensive even though some units are still worn out by winter.

In the west the UK seem to be evacuating the Netherlands but on Sardinia they have taken the resource.

Also, von Kuchler has been doing rather well.

The Luftwaffe destroys 30 transports and a large corps at Amsterdam, but suffer quite heavy losses in the process. Our new fighters cannot come soon enough (April and May).

The war never really pauses on the Moscow front.

Germany suffers a shattered corps near Voronezh. The UK evacuates Amsterdam.
Rain and snow. Finland takes back its 5 resources.

In the south we make a small pocket in the snow. The Soviet Voronezh front is far too strong for anything but a few local attacks.

On the Moscow front we have to give up any ideas of major encirclements. We mostly make local attacks where the odds are favorable.
I still hope to cut the railroad to Leningrad before going on the defensive. An ideal line would be Ivanov to Rostov.

Tech for Germany, my two "recon" units are actually fully "teched out".
