I'm sure I shouldn't have done things this way, but I had 3 landing TFs and 3 escort TFs. One landing TFs led and all the others followed. The lead began unloading, another stayed with her but didn't unload and the third ran away. I'm thinking the TM attack caused them to drop their follow order.

I had thought about airdropping a unit at Tjepoe a couple days before the landing to capture it thus avoiding very many casualties, but the Raiding rgt. I would have used didn't arrive in time and I couldn't wait any longer.

Second time I've attacked a larger force here. We'll see if third time's the charm.

Armor is my guess as well. Too bad he had the leader(+), that might have made a big difference. His forces are probably tired and disrupted enough that he has to roll well to not get (-) results for those, teetering on the edge. One more thing might tip the scales (the other kind of scales) enough to win the hex. Air attack? Leader change in the Inf Rgt?
Sometimes things said in Nitwit sound very different in English.

OK boys and personages lacking a Y chromosome, here is your philosophy lesson for the day. You may think that what follows is history, but philosophy transcends all the arts and sciences. Now you neophytes (in regards to philosophy) may think that Descarte's pronouncement that "I think, therefor I am" is the most profound formulation in all of the history of philosophy. Be careful about that cause you don't want to mix history and philosophy. A play was written, and a movie based on that filmed. The setting is a preparatory school. The movie is British (but as an anthropologist I cannot ignore those "people") but singularly insightful. It is titled "The History Boys". An auditor or dean verbally tests one of the students as follows: "What have you learned from history"?
The reply was immediate "History!? What's to learn from history?" "It's just one f***ing thing after another."

What more do we need to know?
