Filler Names

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Hi Shaggy, good to see you back, hope you enjoyed yourself

S/Ldr KOPECKY Vaclav, DFC (†)
F/Sgt KOPECKY Zdenek (†)
F/O KOPECEK Vladimir (†)

he is with 312, but find no info on him, so do not know when or where, and while he is a SL, he was not in charge of the squadron, so rank maybe his ending rank

still think, you got to love it

been looking for D.R. Scott, SL of 306 Polish, all my English lists show up nothing, I end up finding Douglas R. Scott, under a listing of Polish pilots !

went to the new website with the Opp Docs for the Polish Squadrons, able to find many names, but then the job is to cross index them to my Polish lists to get the right ones

Kewl, learn a new trick, keep playing it, found Tomlinson also

you got any info on Tuttle, would of been a FL (B Flight leader) for 307

hmmm, odd, I find the English A flight leaders, but not the B flights ?

any idea on FO Young for 306 ?

ORBs are a great source of primary data. They do contain errors [made by the clerks at the time of writing] but the info contained is invaluable. The authors of the site in question are doing a great service by transcribing the ORBs onto the web and I look forward to them adding more pages to those already done.

W/C Douglas R. Scott - C/O 306 (Polish) Sqn 28Aug40-26Nov40, Wg Ldr? Kirton-in-Lindsey Wg ?-08Nov41, KIA 08Nov41

S/L G.C. Tomlinson C/O 17 Sqn Nov39-May40, C/O 307 (Polish) Sqn Sep40-Mar41

Nothing on a Tuttle with 307 (Polish) Sqn

Nothing on a F/O Young with 306 (Polish) Sqn

Roger that

that would be George C Tomlinson

those are not from my sources, so do not know if they are good or old mistakes (my bad, Young is from the new data, Tuttle is from the game)

I do find a R.H. Young and a R.M. Young, both with 264 Squadron (if he was going to 307, I think one of those may be the guy, as a number of Defiant guys came over to help out, but it is for 306)

Enough to drive you nuts, found it in my list of Polish pilots, on the bottom of a page, when you scoll, the page tends to jump to the next one, ahhhh

John R. Young, 1 kill, 1 damaged (bad part is the Kill was friendly !)

I've got no bio data on any Youngs relevant to the BoB period on my database. Other than what appears on the usual lists I can't add anything. BoB is not a period I've concentrated on researching.

Sarge,

Still looking for Free French filler pilots? I'm volunteering for a fighter unit; any would do, but 341 Squadron "Alsace" would be nice if possible... [:)]

My name is Vincent Lefavrais.

Also, are you still looking for historical French pilot names? I might be able to fill some holes if needed. Please let me know.

Hi HAS,

unfortunatly I have found this awesome forum a little bit late for this thread.

But I beg you on my knees to integrate a name of a friend of mine and my one to the I/JG 53 [&o][&o]

Names:

My one: Christian Walter
My friend: Maximilian Biwald

Rank: Doesn`t matter
Experience: Not an Ace but good enough to have the capabilities to survive some months, please.

If you need any further assistance for data mining on the german side then I can probably help you. Have a lot of books and the diary of the OKW.

Hi Hard Sarge - Hope the book is still open for new names, so here goes.

Andy Graydon.  British, BoB or BTR, doesn't really matter.  However, RAF no.609 Squadron would be good (me being a Yorkshireman and their emblem being a white rose - the symbol for Yorkshire) during BoB.

PS Keep up the good work - can't wait for the updated game, it's all looking really good[;)]

PPS - useful website from official British sources, including squadrons and pilot names:-
