So then the only thing that you could really do is to suggest a therapist. Then they have to find out if the insurance will cover the therapist or if the therapist will accept the insurance. Fun times for all.

BTW, how is that California Budget Deficit going?

Jap cruisers bombard Taytay on Palawan, sinking 3 LCT's hiding in among the palms. Too bad. The LCT's were getting through to Bataan.

************April 27***********

IJA sends two full divisions across the river East of Padang, just barely achieves a 2:1 in a shock attack but the tired Indians and the Aussie brigade fold and retreat. The support units get murdered. We suffer 4000 casualties (almost all disablements) and lose several unit remnants of engineers. This is really bad. It means Padang is toast as well. I start everyone pulling back toward Pakangbaroe or Benkalis. Don't say anything to Mr. Curtin

California had a large "rainy day reserve fund" which we blew through in March. We also blew through the state unemployment insurance reserves. We have a mandated balanced budget so now the devil has come for the souls. Usually what happens is we let more prisoners out of state prisons and raise taxes again and steal some from funds usually allocated to cities or funds from some bond measure for some stupid purpose approved by the voters.

This time the main strategy seems to be wait for November and see who wins and then try to extract more money from the federal government. You will note state funds to sort of fund MediCal for the "undocumented" have not been halted. Neither has quite a giant fund to pay for $600K a unit condos for the "unhoused".

It seems it is a good time to be an "un-something". I have thought quite a bit about moving to Texas or Florida or Wyoming to be an "un-taxpayer"

The last part sounds like a good idea. Of course, I don't bother to pay any income taxes myself. [8|]

If the state of California wanted more money, drill for oil. I understand that it is bubbling up onto the streets and sidewalks of LA, not to mention the tar balls floating ashore from the seepage from under the ocean.

What is the smallest AF a transport A/C can operate from to perform supply or paradrop missions?

I tried to look it up....really.

For bombers, 9.4 AIRFIELDS:
Airfields accommodate, repair and resupply air
units, and serve as a point from which to launch
air strikes.
Airfield size has many effects. It is easier to
damage and destroy aircraft on the ground at
smaller airfields (less dispersion). It is also more
likely that planes will suffer operational losses
when landing at smaller airfields.
Level bombers require an airfield equal to size 4
+ (bomb load / 6500) rounded down. So, a B29 requires a size 7 airfield to avoid the penalties.
Light bombers require a starting airfield of 2 rather than 4.

Level 2 is my working idea because it seems a C-47 will neither drop paras or supply from a level 1

You cant fly offensive missions from a level 1 airfield.

Paradrops can only go as far as the normal range of the aircraft.

From your starting level 2, also apply the load formula, substituting payload for bomb load/6500. I have some converted Liberator transports that carry more than C-47s, so the calculation for them would be level 4 + the payload/6500.

Neither of those would be a defensive mission like CAP which is allowed from a level 1 field. But the C-47s may not be able to fly at extended ranges.

Now to move some paras there if he has left bases ungarrisoned behind him. [;)]

You cannot drop paras at extended range anyway.

Maybe you can't drop them from C-47s, but maybe he has some Cats available? Then they can pick up the paratroopers after they capture the base?

They also can't do extended range, but since their normal range is greater that works pretty good.

You can't drop paras from Cats but you can do a transfer at extreme ranges. It has to be a coastal hex.

Why can't you drop paratroops from Cats?

I know that you can transfer or pick up at extreme ranges.

You can drop paras from cats. Or maybe only if it's a coastal hex? I have to check on that. The thing is, I know if it's an enemy base on a coastal hex they have to be paras. That I confirmed recently.
