From what I have seen the US has done almost nothing from day one.
They are in Spain in a fairly strong force. They did also have some major naval victories with Japan. They are also fairly active against u boats.
But having said all that, it does feel that they are behind historical reference dates.

RE: GD 1938 v 2, testgame
we'll why hasn't the U.S. not attacked me (Germany) then. I'm waiting and in the meantime the Soviets are getting chewed up. It isn't over till it is, and the Soviets still have fight in them but right now things are not looking good. Heck, the Japanese have now started an offensive in both the North and south and so far things are looking good.
His subs though have given me a headache in the pacific, but I'm hoping my subs (German) are causing a headache for you guys as well. From what I see, it just may

RE: GD 1938 v 2, testgame
Absolutely no bombing of Germany by anyone is why the German machine is in such good state. As I recall the US did not even want to ally with Britain. His air force is free to attack the Soviets as he need not defend his production centers.

I do have 5 Fighter groups on the western front and I have built up my AA groups defending my cities a lot. I will say that the British did there for a while attack with his fighters and it was a close call, but then all of a sudden he stopped. This breather allowed me time to build and replenish my losses.
I do have more fighter groups on the eastern front as this is where my main focus is for now. But I'm launching attacks against the British now and there have been two large air battles. The Spanish front if anything is tying down some forces that I would love to send east, but I cannot.
I have learned from bombur, that subs are important and have been using them in large wolf packs in the Atlantic and I think it is delaying the allied invasion. Maybe I'm wrong I don't know, but I know that bomburs subs have caused me headaches in the pacific.

I beg to disagree, at least in the Pacific.
I anihilated the Japanese Navy in 1942 (historically it was 1944)
I took Iwo Jima in mid 1943
Phillipines didn´t even fall
US submarines are causing heavy losses to Japanese merchant navy (1400 supply destroyed each month)
And thanks to the British, we already have a foothold in Europe (USA Lend Lease equipment helped too). The Italians almost took Spain.

TASS announces:
-Comrade Stalin, while meeting with the workers of the 163rd Tool Factory, noted the following: "Why there are no grand military operations by the Western Allies against the German imperialists? Answer: there is no doubt that there are some Western capitalist circles who wish that Soviet Union and Germany will weaken themseleves severely. These gentlemen think that they will profit from this. Comrade Molotov has recently reported that the Germans have sent a secret peace offer to us. We must consider this offer seriously."
-Northern Front: the enemy has stopped in front of the Leningrad defense line. Enemy attack at Novgorod repulsed. The heroic defense of the Tallinn naval base has begun.
-Southern Front: our forces have temporarily abandoned Odessa and have taken new positions behind the river Dnepr.
-Central Front: West of Moscow the enemy has been defeated in three large battles.
At first a heavy blow was delivered to a large infantry grouping:

Then two enemy tank groups were encircled and annihilated at the gates of Moscow. The first one:

While Göring's cut-throats were licking their wounds from the previous air battles, the Soviet Red Eagles demonstrated their power West of Moscow. Besides large numbers of infantry many tanks of newest types were destroyed.

Despite the US sub efforts, the Japs appear to be getting stronger not weaker. Launching offensives on land both the North and South.
Germans subs have been causing pain alright, just not anywhere near the head, always on the opposite end.

In the meeting with workers, Comrade Stalin seems to have forgotten the large amounts of Lend Lease equipment sent by western imperialists to mother Russia....a new tank factory was opened near San Francisco with the sole purpose of producing advanced medium tanks to the Soviets.

If you look closely at the last pic Kombrig posted, you can see a unit of American Volunteers taking part in a victory.

England in a largely symbolic gesture to the tremendous effort being made by the Soviet Union begins an offensive in Spain against the Italians. Losses are high and likely cannot be replaced, but we are going "all in".
Japanese are moving West into Burma in force. India is prepared.

I am really pleased to see this titanic clash happening, I hope really everyone has enjoyed the game, so far... It is in its end stages, I think, if Germany achieves its aims that is. If it doesn´t it will decline into a battle for survival for Germany, that will ultimately result in a Soviet win, I think... Unless of course the Japanese don´t have a victory condition up their sleeves that will settle this game sooner...

It's my suspicion that Japan has India in it's sights for the victory.
