After more checking there are some issues with the Pantsir terminology and I think the Pantsir SM is being confused with the Pantsir S2:
With apologies for having to make multiple posts to attach images.
#3250 - SAM Plt (SA-22 Greyhound [Pantsir-SM]) (Russia [1992-] - 2011) ?

Suggest name change to Pantsir S2 and in service as of 2015 please. Plus amend or add new 57E6-1 missile with range of 30km and add new SOTS-S double facing radar array?

Pantsir S2 has been in service since 2015 and has been seen in Syria with Russian forces since 2016. But it is not in the DB3K.

https://youtu.be/aJpKJ--ZPq8?t=3 Shows the S2 from a RUPTLY article in Syria. In contrast the Pantsir SM is not in service in Russia yet.

The S2 has improved radar with which is double faceted and therefore provides better faster coverage and makes it easy to distinguish from the S1.

"The Pantsir-S2 is also fitted with a new SOTS S-band search radar to increase the detection range from 36 km to over 40 km"*Army Recognition.
It also supposedly has a marginally increased missile with a range of 30km but does not use the later ER missile.

The difference with the S1 is most obvious by comparing radar arrays.
See this clip from the manufacturers PR for the S1 https://youtu.be/ywcnw8r-CAo?t=70

Pantsir SM is very different vehicle using the Tornado G 8x8 armoured MRAP vehicle with light armour, newer still AESA radar and the extended range 40km missile.

Algeria has Pantsir SM as of 2019 and before the Russians per the MENA DEFENCE article.

The Rostec article provides an oversight of the S1 S2 and SM developments:

Pantsir SM - Latest incarnation as of 2019 using the Tornado G armoured chassis.

Many thanks

ORIGINAL: stilesw
Pantsir SM Has been added to the 483 DB3K with the 57E6-ER missile as a new weapon but the ER versions is identical in range to the standard 57E6 version i.e 10 Nm range.

By all accounts the ER has a 40km/21.5 nm range and the FCR has double the acquisition range.

#3202 - MRK Smerch Nanuchka III [Pr.1234.2] (Russia [1992-] - 2021)

Addenda and weapon request please?

Smerch currently has an air launched AS-20 Kayak weapons mount for the 16 x Kh-35UE; (N.B U E is an export designation),

4x AS-20 Kayak [Kh-35UE] 4x Quad #3688 - AS-20 Kayak [Kh-35UE]

It should have the ship launched equivalent:

4x SS-N-25 Switchblade 4 x Quad . #???? SS-N-25 Switchblade [Kh-35U] GLONASS

Currently there is only the Kh-35 Uran version in the DB3k:
#969 - SS-N-25 Switchblade [Kh-35 Uran] - As a ship launched weapon. This is an anti ship weapon only with a 80nm range.

There is a surface launched equivalent of the air launched Kh-35U which has GLONASS/GPS guidance and is capable of hitting static targets ashore up to 240km.
It could be named SS-N-25 Switchblade [Kh-35U] GLONASS

Also it should have a #450 twin SA-N-4B mount not the SA-N-4A.

And as an aside the Smerch already is in the DB under:

#3191 - MRK Nanuchka III [Pr.1234.1 Ovod] (Russia [1992-] - 2019)

For consideration please.

Could the Spike-ER missile be added to the Israel AH-64D Saraf?
Probably two missiles per wing.

Source: https://airforcesmonthly.keypublishing.com/2017/06/07/israel-shows-off-spike-on-apache/

Recent photos of an Israeli Air Force (IAF) AH-64D equipped for the carriage of Rafael Spike missiles show that the indigenous precision-attack system is operational on the air arm’s attack helicopters.

The photographs, taken by an AFM correspondent, have been cleared by the Israel Defense Forces censor, demonstrating that the Spike is now officially considered part of the Israeli AH-64D armoury.

The missiles’ twin launcher is mounted on the right stub wing of AH-64D Saraf 743.

The weapons carried may well be the Spike NLOS (Non Line Of Sight) that has already been integrated on several rotary-wing platforms, including the AW159 Wildcat helicopter for the Republic of Korea. This electro-optically guided weapon has a range of around 15.5 miles (25km).

Hi! It's Spike NLOS. I think they could carry 4 in each wing:

All good points on the naming conventions but some reservations about the late model Mi-35M HIND although I get that it would make searching easier.
#3744 - Mi-35M Hind --> Mi-35M Hind E
#4626 - Mi-35M Hind --> Mi-35M Hind E
#4509 - Mi-35M Hind --> Mi-35M Hind E
#1057 - Mi-35M2 Hind [Caribe] --> Mi-35M2 Hind E [Caribe]
#2946 - Mi-35M4 Hind [AH-2 Sabre] --> Mi-35M4 Hind E [AH-2 Sabre]
#4665 - Mi-35P --> Mi-35P Hind F (adding the NATO code makes it faster listing all the Mi-24/35 variants in the DB.)
#4625 - Mi-35P --> Mi-35P Hind F
#3716 - Mi-35P Hind --> Mi-35P Hind F
Mi-35M being designated "HIND E" is debatable. The export Mi-35P HIND F is ok but the late model M is a substantially different machine.
The designator letter is usually used to indicate significant differences and the late model Hinds are significantly different from the Mi-24P and MI-24V HIND E/F which date from the late 70's early 1980's?

The point of the NATO designator is to quickly differentiate threat types so why name the newest version after an out of date model?
Leave them as generic HIND's and put the in service date in the title.
My thinking is that eventually the relevant NATO codename will be disclosed and wouldn't it be easier to rename it then than make an alteration twice?

Above all its just an opinion not a criticism.

Hi KLAB,

I've taken a closer look and realized that my suggestions originated from an older DB version of CMANO. I've deleted most of them in my request. Thanks for pointing out!

Thanks, few more

CP-107 Argus and CP-121 Tracker maritime patrol aircraft are not present in DB3000. Both were in service until 1981 with the CP-121s losing their ASW-related gear and operating as fishery patrol planes until 1990.

#1269 CH-124A Heltas [Sea King] -- Canada (Navy), 1969, 35x
#574 CH-124A Heltas [Sea King] -- Canada (Navy), 1984, 35x
HELTAS (HELicopter Towed-Array Support) should only apply to the CH-124B.

#578 CH-124B Heltas [Sea King] -- Canada (Navy), 1991 6x Gulf War Mod
Should be equipped with DIFAR sonobuoys. While they made up the vast majority of converted helicopters, the 124B were not the only Sea Kings converted for the Gulf War and their "OP Friction" related gear was not part of the HELTAS conversion which was done in the mid-80s. Once I can post links I'll try and provide more information.

3K60 Ball (SSC-6 "Sennight")

On a similar topic the SS-C-6 Sennight coastal missile "Bal" complex can also use the Kh-35U with dual anti ship and satellite based land attack capability.

N.B There is no separate entry for the Sennight as it is using the SS-N-25 Switchblade weapon in the mount for land based the facility.

Was checking on some GBUs for the Northern Fury scenarios. One oddity is that most of them - all the LGB types have had the release altitude dropped to 2,000 ft, but the GBU-15 family, which are TV guided remain at 10,000 feet.

Is this by design?

This reference indicates that the standard practice with the F-111 was to lob the GBU-15s from behind ground cover and drive the bomb to the target using the on-board TV and datalink. I know that Lobbing is not modeled yet, but it seems that this system would have a release altitude as low or lower than an LGB.

http://www.ausairpower.net/TE-AVQ-26-GBU-15.html

Any chance we could have the release altitude of the GBU-15 family reduced to 2,000 like their LGB couterparts. Thank you

Pantsir - This gets more complicated.

Looking at the actual images of the Pantsir SM although it has an obvious Tornado G MRAP 8x8 chassis the actual Pantsir system on the back seems to be the standard S1 configuration using the single face search radar not even the double faceted S2.

I am therefore confused regarding the issue of whether the ER missile or even what actually constitutes the Pantsir SM or if it is in service or not yet!

http://militaryrussia.ru/blog/topic-558.html
This is probably the most exhaustive coverage regarding Pantsir and even with the limitations of translation software provides useful time lines and development.

But there again the manufacturer is a bit contradictory as there own product page shows both the Pantsir S1 and Pantsir S2 in the image library under the headline information for the S1.
And the 3d computer rendering is of the S2!

A recent image (November 2018) indicated that an improved UCAV variant has been developed. This variant (BZK-005C) features a pair of underwing pylons and is able to carry up to 300kg of various weapons.

SAR-equipped recon version:

The latest image (March 2020) indicated that another improved variant (Sky Eagle) is in service with PLA Army featuring a chin mounted SAR antenna. Consequently the EO turret was relocated to the middle section of the fuselage.

Hello,

It seems like that the AN/ALQ-131 DECM pod was renamed by accident to HAVA SOJ Dffensive ECM (Yup, it has a typo in the DB).
