Is that a bridge in the fourth screen shot? Looks like it's just hanging there with no support underneath. Finished artwork or work in progress?

I was looking a bit into OWS, but could never set up my mind to buy it - This ony on the other hand seems to have some vital improvements over the first one. I'll keep my eyes on this one and hope that it will go the right way.... so far it looks pretty good!!!

Hmmm... just thinking that if Koios get this one spot on there is a huge opportunity here, now that CM2 has been revealed to a less than enthusiastic response from the sort of folks who might just be tempted by another, erm, tactical WEGO WW2 game? [;)] .

With the lrelease of the latest CM game to very mixed reviews it looks like we have to put our hopes into this series. Try and get more detail into the game and improve the infanrty combat and I believe us CM fans will be very happy.

This looks like a really good follow-up to Winter Storm.... I shall definitely get this as soon as it hits the virtual shelves...

With the campaign editor John (L-scope) built I was able to make a 4 scenario mini campaign.

And it bears mentioning again that PCK runs great on Vista and duo x2 core. No need to disable one processor.[;)]

Looks great and the discount and updated scenarios for Winterstorm make this unbeatable. Thanks to all involved.

Are the maps moddable?

Is the campaign linear or webbed?

I presume infantry *can* enter buildings?!

Are the maps moddable?

Depending on what tools get released, partially (the base terrain is not, but placement of objects eg trees is)
Is the campaign linear or webbed?

Linear

You presume correctly

The description window text reminds me of one of those old 80's Infocom
text-based games.

ROTFL Good one Staggerwing.

The random battle generator uses that text as a starting basis for generating a more appropriate scenario descriptor.

There is certainly a great opportunity to fill the void left by the CM2 fiasco.

I would like to point out that the lack of proper play-testing of the CM2 series is to blame.  Things that are obvious to anyone downloading/playing the demo were not brought out in the test part of the development.  I suspect some bad choices for playtesters but mostly a rush to market by the developers.

In any case, BF will be further occupied straitening out the kinks and this will push the WWII series expansion even further away.
