A new version is in the works. First of all, the movement troubles have been solved.

I am working on some other things which I can add now that the balance is finally going where want it to. Which is missing so far are partisans, militia, etc..

Archduke, hope the new version is coming along - looking forward to starting a new game soon.

Couple comments / questions about our soon to finish current match (looks like it may be a German victory in late Nov '41 with fall of Leningrad and Moscow and reduction of pockets in the rear - Crimea last to fall).

Arrival of first mud season came as a bit of a shock. Expected enforced truce, etc. but the severe limitation of movement behind friendly lines, shortening of supply lines, and reduction of strat move was a bit harsh (e.g. spearheads encircling Moscow were suddenly completely in the red and couldn't reposition units). Had to recover by building supply depots to chain the supply to the front, but the restriction in number of HQ units meant that some of the more advanced units remained in dire need. Also was surprised to see truce not enforced during two turns of the mud season (although not much happened).

Winter / snow also brought some surprises. Supply lines still short (although not as much), and worst of all -- and totally unrealistic -- was halving of range of all air units. Realistically, flying is actually better on clear winter days than in the summer! Understand the need for some overcast and snow weeks but to block the entire mud-winter-mud (half the year) to reduced air operations seems harsh.

Anyway, greatly enjoyed your scenario and we look forward to the next one!

A new version has been uploaded at http://www.filefront.com/14806777/Opera ... 051009.zip

Major changes include:

- Partisans pop up in Soviet territory except the Baltics.
- Scaled production increases. 500-600-700 PP cost instead of 500-525-550..
- Factories join January 42 and 43 instead of % increases.
- Mortars cost 750 PP now
- Fighters, Divebombers, Levelbombers raised by 1000 PP each

Anyone want to play this??
While few men,legislators or otherwise,
have felt downthe years they could command ships of the line or marshall air armies without specialized training, almost
any fool has felt in his heart that he could command a regiment.

I am currently playing one game as Germany, I would be happy to play on as the Soviets with the newest version.

Archduke

I'll go ahead and start a game as germans.
1st turn usually takes awhile so give me a day or 2.
