I am turning into a Steam hater. I just purchased Europa Universalis III complete and Heir to the Throne. What limited free time I have I am packing more and more game into :(
But at 22.99 for the entire series I could not refuse. And this will be my first EU game. I hope it is worth it.

Had loads of fun with EUIII and it's expansions.
For me that's the best Paradox has to offer.

I really enjoyed Victoria and Crusader Kings so I am pretty positive it will be money well spent. In fact I enjoyed Victoria so much that it would not surprise me in the least if I have logged 300 hours with it.

I LOVE Steam! I bought Oblivion for $8.50 and Morrowind for $4.99 a week ago on a weekend sale. Dang, I have 53 hours in Oblivion so far! [X(]

*hugs Oblivion*

Wait...you bought them a week ago, and you have 53 hours in Oblivion already?! My God man, sleep is your friend!! [:D]

I haven't bought anything yet. I have a few games marked to grab later, a few whose demos I'm trying out, and I'm keeping an eye on the daily deals.

Oh you would not believe how fast the hours fly by when you are playing a game you love while the wife is watching TV. [:D]
After 16 years, Civ II still has me in it's clutches LOL!!!
Now CIV IV has me in it's evil clutches!

...then you won't have much time to play EUIII once Victoria 2 comes out later this summer [:D]

I've just found myself buying the cheap-but-good stuff when it's REALLY cheap; Super Laser Racer, the Space Rangers pack, Cryostasis, Gravitron 2, Torchlight and Shatter; there's enough there for months when I fancy a break from the 'hard' stuff.

BTW, they have 'The Void' on cheap-cheap today. One of my favourite games ever and strongly recommended if you like something a bit different.

That will be the first game I buy from Paradox with no patches or expansions. I expect the game to be rough going but I think my love for the concept will carry through.
Hopefully the game gets 3-4 expansions like EU and HOI. The 'B list' Paradox games typically only seem to get one expansion.

I got Torchlight for 5.00 back around Christmas and got through it in about 2 weeks. A very enjoyable Diablo clone with a lot of cool equipment.

I may pick up The Void...haven't decided yet. [:)] I'm also considering Red Orchestra and FlatOut today.

Torchlight is fun, and Space Rangers 2 : Reboot is a FANTASTIC game.

Red Orchestra is a must at that price for those who don't already have it. Careful with Flatout; it ran great (Steam version) on Vista but won't even install under Windows 7, on my system anyway.

Does Red Orchestra have a single-player mode? I'm not much into the multiplayer stuff. Thanks...

ack..never mind. looks like its mostly for online multiplayer.....

p.s. I picked up Osmos from the Steam sale yesterday. Plays slow, but kinda fun, interesting....

It is a multiplayer game buy you can play the maps alone and make it full of bots. But it's not fun.
Not much activity in the serveres these days so you will only get to play with the bots.

Is Darkest Hour not populated? That's a free mod for it that downloads from Steam correct?

Yup. But I'm not into that mod.  Original RO is like a ghost town. Plus I live in Asia so I get high pings 300-400 when playing servers in the US so I'm at a disadvantage. But I do get by playing other games at those high pings... just not RO.
Before I was able to play with people from Japan and Australia and it was good. Now it's really not a good experience for me.

Well, I pulled the trigger on Red Orchestra yesterday. Thief : Deadly Shadows at $2.99 and GTA : San Andreas at $3.74 today are possibilities...

I realize this isn't the proper place for this, but I need some help. Steam won't let me verify my help support account, so I can't get any help from them.[:@]
Does anyone know where to find the game manuals? Or don't they have any? [&:]
I may have made a mistake trying steam, what a pain in the butt it is, first you make your original account, then you need another registration for support, then another registration for the forums! 3 accounts at one site! Then the link to verify my support account doesn't work! Funny how the other 2 registrations work, but this one doesn't, I guess they don't want any complaints!
Thanks for any help.

Go to the Store page for the game, and on the right side of the screen about half way down usually, is a link for the manual. It's in the same place the Forum link is at. If the manual is not there then go to the forum and ask about it. You can also go to the developers site for the game and they also have manual downloads at times.

Sometimes I have found the manual in the game directory as a .pdf file. Steam usually does not supply a shortcut to it so you have to find it yourself.

However, usually the manual is on the Store page for the product.
