Thanks for the opportunity to play test. Very much appreciated. So looking forward to this game.

Reading the rulebook, then will fire it up and start collating feedback.

Just wondering why it was worded like this as opposed to something like 'In a show of solidarity with Japan, Hitler declares war on the United States'. Also, no mention of Pearl Harbor ?

The reason is that this covers all circumstances.

For instance the USA could join the war before or after the historical Pearl Harbor attack.

Also historically Germany declared war on the USA, but if we were to change the wording to reflect that, the Axis player might not like being told that he has just declared war on the USA when he hasn't physically done so.

As the Allies have nothing to gain from not declaring war on Germany in this game, it is just made a given event with this rather neutral wording.

Well, that makes a difference and now it makes sense. Thanks !

As the Allies against the Axis computer, I got a message about a Mulberry, but I don't see anything in the manuals about it, so what are the details ?

Please ignore it, I don't know why you would have seen that as the relevant script is switched off.

I want doesn't get! [;)]

It's in the POP UP file, and what's weird is it is set to #Flag= 0 which means it should never have appeared.

My mistake ! I've been trying to catch all the changes and put them in separate files for the custom file I am working on, but I missed that one. [:(]

Finished my first full game as Allies vs. computer Axis [previous try ended in 3-42 when v1.08 came out]. Everything seemed to work well. I didn't invade Normandy, instead I went thru the Balkans/Greece and it took a long time to beat the Axis in that area. Lots of fun, though.

Only two things were a little quirky. Near the end just to do it, I assaulted Cherbourg with Special Forces and Paras, and the news popped up that Soviet Morale was boosted due to landings in France. I understand there is an event tied to that and things are not easily predicted, so its no big deal at all.

After Berlin and the 2nd Capital of Munich had been taken, the Germans surrendered. This spurred a flurry of messages that had to do with liberated countries and the one pictured below. This one was out of place as Italy had already surrendered much earlier. [Italy's surrender seemed to work very well, as I had cleared N. Africa, advanced thru Greece and took Albania and Yugoslavia, and as I approached Trieste the Italians folded].

Ready now for another version [:D]

Thanks, I'll take a look at that Italy surrender message relating to Spain. Consider it fixed. [:)]

You're right about your landing at Cherbourg... the idea is for Soviet morale to improve when the Allies land in France.

I moved a unit in the Persian Gulf onto the 'North Atlantic' loop. I guessed it might return in the loops near the US coast, but instead it popped up here in the area southwest of England. I think it's not a problem, but it maybe seemed odd so I thought I would check to make sure that is where it is supposed to end up.

Thanks for pointing it out and it is intentional as we won't know where people actually want to sail to, and it's more likely they'd want to sail to the UK than the USA.

This also means there is a chance of interception before they reach port. [:)]

Sorry guys
The next version looks like being a little way off - a bit over 2 weeks away I think - but it will be a good one!
Plenty to feedback on I hope.

YAY, I won ! Took a bit longer than historical, but its like extra innings !

This time around the most important thing I learned was that Carriers have different Modes, and if you set them to the proper Mode they perform much better [;)]
