Some strategic musings:

- finally been able to change some commanders

- made decision to send 8th Australian division to Port Moresby. 22nd and 27th Brigades are embarking in Singapore. Rest of division, Lark Bn is already in PM, Gull and Sparrow Bns will ship from Darwin.

- PM might need more reinforcements, so have to see what we have. 5th AUS Division is a possibility. I have just declared that PNG is Australian mainland, so they can serve there. :D Would have been "very popular" decision...

- PM desperately needs engineers and aviation support, so reinforcements will be "scrounged". First US reinforcements from West Coast will take time, but they will be shipped ASAP.

- first USN submarines have started to patrol mainland Japan coast, more to follow

- shipping from Singapore is evacuated to Perth, to be later distributed elsewhere

Other than that, it is business as usual.
