Paul,

I started a thread in the scenario forum. Nice to see you again, by the way.

Markshot,

please apologize me too, english isn't my mother language, and maybe in my previous post I haven't
well explained what was the focal point.

I loved this game as soon as I read your detailed AARs and strategy guides. My only fault is that I've
not time to play it deeply (bought HttR in february, this year) and after few scenarios I look at you beta reports of Cota in this forum.
So my first question was if were possible to play the old scenarios with new engine, but the answer is
"maybe I could..."

Well, for non Panther Games programmers this remains an open question, not sure if the conversion is working or not, not sure if all goes on the right way, considering the hard work through the scenario/map maker, no time to do it.
So I decided to put apart my HttR copy (but I still keep it in my hard disk) and probably wait for Battle of Buldge.

Anyway, I decided to put my effort in tactical developing on the field....
maybe I forget someone near Platamon....

I don't have COTA yet so I may be wrong, but you can export/import force lists using xml, correct?I'm still a learner programmer but I'm pretty sure there's a way to convert this (which is from the HTTR export to the clipboard)

Code: Select all

 35 10SS Pz Div HQ 2SS 0 89 0 100 75 94 80 83 83 94 88 87 90 94 88 90
 50 Rail Bridge Garrison Inf Pl G.2 4 100 0 100 37 22 26 38 23 46 41 56 44 41 57 46
 55 Road Bridge Garrison Pl G.1 4 100 0 100 26 26 34 46 25 38 44 57 50 54 44 41
 60 Rail Bridge Flak Pl G.2 4 100 0 100 25 28 28 47 17 22 38 8 23 41 35 50
 65 Road Bridge Flak Pl G.1 4 100 0 100 34 24 32 56 17 28 28 14 31 47 40 57
 260 10SS Pz Div HQ 10 0 88 0 100 82 94 81 80 77 94 83 87 90 88 89 88
 275 SS Pz Regt 10 HQ 10 0 100 0 100 77 90 82 88 56 96 88 88 94 87 89 86

into the proper xml format. That would speed things up a bit.

HTTR ScenMaker does not have a full blown export facility for forces. It does have an export to clipboard feature for a sub-set of the force values. The COTA SM does have a full blown force list exporter, which exports the xml file containing all the necessary data.
