Insisting, the subs find again that same squadron, for no effect.

At long last, the subs finally escape the Brazilian vigilance...

And inflict quite serious losses!
The allied convoy chains are now more and more strained. The USA had to bring back some convoys from the pacific on the previous turn, and they will be barely sufficient to close that new hole. And convoy production has been a bit lacking these last turns.

However, the convoy don't go without seriously damaging the opponents...

In the North attlantic, a lone sub is trying the lighter defenses of the few convoys there.

But it is met by two high sea patrolling cruisers.
It doesn't escape, even though it pushes one cruiser away.

RE: My second AAR (again)
I have had this problem too, but found a solution that works for me. See this thread:ORIGINAL: yvesp
Humpf...
Start of rant
I am tired of playing three or more times the return to base phase because somehow the game decides to send back home hosts of convoys that where set to be used in the previous production planning phase. That's just ludicrous! Ships that are committed to transporting resources should be locked at sea! Or remove the production planning panel! What would its purpose be if not to finaly decide which resource goes where and thus decide on convoy usage ?
End of Rant

I thought I knew how to play this game....

I'll check to see if that works! Thanks.

The US fleet is working its way back to the USA by going through the med.
The British take the opportunity to obviousl advance their offensive in the desert.
A quite annoying turn of events: its hard to see how Lybia could stand against such a force, which, once free, could be enough to put pressure on Italy itself! Its also hard to see what the Italian fleet could do to help ; should it put itself at risk there ?
Hopefully, Japan decides that the time is ripe for a declaration of war against France and the Commonwealth!

The Italians finally sent naval air units, helped by German units of the same kind. But this failed to produce any combat. Of course, the hope was to find the British fleet and loaded transports...
In the South China sea,the allies don't have that luck and the Japanese fleet promptly dispatches the enemy convoys.

In southern China, Tchang counter attacks meet with unexpected success.Note that the nationalist are bound to do low odd attacks. Furthermore, most of the Chinese force pool is on board...

RE: My second AAR (again)
In France, astuce use of marine units lets the USA slowly grind the coastline while avoiding combat. Germany is hard pressed finding units to do all it has to do.
For exemple, neither Netherlands, nor Belgium are garrisonned! There are two partisan units in the alps that are cutting supply lines and preventing the flow of some resources... In the east, the garrison ratio barely holds...

As the weather turns suddenly fine on the whole planet, Germany launches strikes to stop the allies advance. A combined attack by these forces could be devastating should the impulse proceed.

Which perfectly fullfills its mission.
The alleis should have a much harder time attacking or advancing now.

While some marines advance in an undefended Kuala-Lumpur, others fail to capture Hanoï, which was unfortunately vacated by Chinese troops chasing partisans!
