[edit] (changed due to my stuff up) ... 1.3.1 does the jobORIGINAL: cantona2
The intel section doesnt seem to be working properly in my Tracker. I get the message that the sigint file cannot be found but it seems to be asking for the current turn date. EG currently ive run the replay for 22/12 and therefore i am entering turns for 23/12. surely tracker should be looking for the last sigint turns generated, ie 22/12, because when i open the intell file within the game it has 22/12 as the 23/12 has not been generated yet. I know it sounds confusing but can anyone help. I think the intel addon has been the best addon for tracker as its the closest we have to a Bodhi's for AE, an indespensable tool in witp!
thanks

RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.3.1 Available
I put in a change in 1.3.1 to look for the previous day's intel. So if you load a turn into WitPTracker and the date for the turn shows as Dec 24th, the program will look for an intel file dated Dec 23rd.

Since you can play 3 day turns, are you going to change it to look back three days??

The problem with that is the two- and three-day turns apparently put all of the information in one single file.
I may need to add some function that will "pre-read" the intel even before the save gets read in. Or something like that...

RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.3.1 Available
Floyd,
I did some testing and found those error messages. Please note that this is all using 1.3.1. The bottom line is that turns 1 and 2 load fine. Turn 3 loads fine when done as part of a multi-turn load with turn 2. But, when turn 3 is loaded using 'Read Turn', it generates error messages. As described below of course I started with a fresh database between iterations of testing.
BTW, if you want them, I have saved all files for you.

As described below of course I started with a fresh database between iterations of testing.
BTW, if you want them, I have saved all files for you.
First I tried to start Tracker to create a new database. The designated save file is wpae019.pws, which is not present. Instead I had the old turns named '001-wpae019.pws', '002-wpae019.pws', '003-wpae019.pws' for turns 1, 2, and 3 respectively.

In this attempt I copied 001-wpae019.pws to wpae019.pws, and the database seemed to load and create fine.

I then proceeded to do a multi-turn load of turns 2 and 3 (file names above). Again no errors were generated, so I tooled around in the interface looking at things. Still no errors generated.

Here I load turn 3, by renaming the file 003-wpae019.pws to wpae019.pws and using 'read turn'. This is where the errors occur. Note that in the previous test run turn 3 did seem to load fine when I used the multi-turn read to load turns 2 and 3 at the same time.

RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.3.1 Available
witpqs: those errors are harmless. It's because a turn is being loaded at the same time as you are viewing the Alerts panel. If you try the same test while viewing a "static" panel (something that doesn't change from turn to turn), like the Ship Class panel, you shouldn't see those errors.
Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

I wasn't really viewing anything, but the Alerts panel was the one open when I loaded the turn (it's the default when I started Tracker). It was also open when turn 2 loaded, but was completely blank at that time (since by definition there are no alerts from turn 1).
Glad to hear it's harmless.
Thanks!

RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.3.1 Available
I have loaded the new version of WITPTracker. Everything works fine and the new functionalities are great except I am unable to visualise on the map the search arcs.
What is missing ?

Try restarting it. I had the problem that the search arcs weren't updating when I loaded a new turn, but once I restarted it, they were displayed correctly.

The arcs and percentages should update when you load a new turn. If you're using a database from Release 1.2, that data is not present, so you need to load a new turn, or start with a new 1.3(.1) database.
If the arcs and percentages don't update, then I have a problem...

I started a new database with 1.3.1 and started loading in the turns one by one (multi-turn read didn't recognize the save files). The search arcs screen was open and stayed the same the whole time even though I did update change them during the period of the saves. I will check if this happens again when I get another turn for my PBEM.

I don't have the code here, but it may be that I don't refresh after a new turn is loaded. Can you quit and re-start (keep the database) and see if things updated then?
