Japanese Para Troops

which LCU's in the latest version of CHS are capable of para drops. I know the 1st and 2nd Para regiments are capable...but aren't there other ones besides those??

do you happen to know which SNLF's??...just wondering if that ability was carried over to CHS

I think it's 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Yokosuka SNLF. Anyway, they all should have little parachute painted on their LCU icon.

thanks....and for those who want to know, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Yokosuka SNLF have para capability in CHS...but the 4th Yokosuka SNLF does not, just checked it out

It was not para capable in stock either.

Right, to date CHS has not changed the para capability of the IJA/IJN relative to stock. This will probably happen one day, but hasn't happened yet. Still an open question is the 2 YOK ... some sources indicate para trained, some not. Though 1 YOK and 3 YOK are confirmed. In addition, there will probably be more IJA para units entering play in the late 43 early 44 time frame as occurred historically.

I kinda wonder if the Japanese paratroops of 1943-44 weren't the same sort of paratroop units as the Germans were building at the same time: that is paratroopers who never saw the inside of an airplane and hadn't clue about how to jump out of one without getting hurt.

A few commando type survivors amongst the prewar cadre wouldn't surprise me but I find the idea of new battalions/regiments of really capable paratroops to be a dubious proposition.
