Bug in the unit history report

Post by TimoN »

There seems to be an error in the unit history report. Excessive and wrong casualties are being reported, see embedded screenshot. Few times I have seen casualties as high as -1100000. It happens randomly and so far I haven't seen it causing any effect on game play.

I can send a save file on request.

Ah, it looks as though it may not initialize the report variable for pieces called as reinforcements.  Thanks for the report!

Just to clarify:
The problem has been with the reported losses. There's no way my troops suffered 2000 casualties in that Zanesville battle. Actual losses should have been 3038-2991=47. My troops really didn't receive any reinforcements.

As I said I have also seen over 1100000 losses reported few times.

Yes.  The report variable for reinforced troops was not being initialized -- that is, it is effectively random for them.  This is consistent with what you are seeing.  I'll fix in the next (i.e. not this) patch.  Thanks!

Whoops... I read your message carelessly. The troops were called as reinforcements from the other province as you immediatelly noticed. Thanks for clarifying and glad to hear that it will be fixed.
