1st patch - minimum spec warning?

I've just applied the first patch to my 512MB ram machine and it came up with a warning that minimum specs for the game have not been achieved, do I want to continue?

What gives?

PS: The game is asking for a Gig of Ram.

I am not sure what to say, that may be there to let you know that if you want to keep playing you are going to need to set the game to Lowres

(which I think you may need to start the game so it makes a new Ini file ?)

Yeah, maybe that .ini file was replaced and you have to redo the change to it. Maybe. Eric won't be back on the forum until tomorrow morning, so you might need to wait until then to know.

It would certainly make sense to look for the file and see if the changes are still in place.

You may be right as I reset my ini file myself.

On my 1G laptop it loaded fine.

I've noticed that you've fixed the scroll bug by not permitting two containers to stay open at the same time. You've addressed the seige bug, the July '61 Generals ratings and the CSA iron clad.

Fingers crossed it goes ok for you. I've been flat out with business this week and caught a cold. So It'll be 100 degrees here tomorrow, a massive bush fire outbreak in my state Victoria and I'll be sweating it out with the aircon, a radio for fire updates and the FoF rulebook - cest la vie!

also the missing cities in lowres mode, something about preloading some sound files (I can't test that) and a Cav stack looking like Arty when outside the container

The warning is something added to the installer, but it shouldn't have any affect on the performance of the game in low animation mode.
