Depot problems

Post by robot »

I have been trying to log in over at the depot for the last half hour with no success. Seems I dont know my password or user name . I am using the password they sent me. I dont know what the problem is I was in the other day and downloaded the latest enhanced mod. I have alreeady installed it on my machine. Started my Italian campaign over because did not know what it would do to one already started. Also at the depot they stated when they sent me the password to change it as soon as I first logged in but I am unable to find any place to change it over there and now imblocked from getting in for some reason.

Hope some one can help me with this was very interested in doing the acadamy thing over there.

robot,

What is your exact username at the Depot? Alby or I will manually activate your accout, set a password for you, and then you will be able to log in and enter your own password in your profile. I tried a search for 'robot' in the Admin panel, and it says that name is not a member.

I looked over new members, and he is not listed. The sign-on may have been interrupted/incomplete? In User Management, you do not need his password. You can manually enter one and give it to him, then he can change it later.

One thing that is strange: He stated he used the one that 'they sent to him'. I don't believe we send passwords, but instead allow users to chose their own at sign-up. Maybe he is not at the correct site?

robot, go directly to the forums using http://www.spwaw.com/phpBB2/index.php and register. We'll get you up and running!

robot-

An idea: please send either Alby or myself the email address you intend to use, and one of us will register for you (under 'robot'). This way we can handle any problems that come up. Then you can log on without issue. Sound good?

Problem fixed!

We've been having some problems with spam accounts at the Depot, so I did some coding that was intended to check the IP address of anyone registering against the lists of known spam IP addresses from SpamHaus and a few others.  Unfortunately, I did this at 3AM without coffee, and it seems to be rejecting all new applications.  I disabled it for now, so you, or anyone else, should have no problems logging in or signing up.

(BTW, membership at the Depot is not required to read our forums or download any of our files, it is only required for message posting)
What, me worry?

You know I feel so dumb sometime. The depot is not easy to negotiate at least not for me. I dont see how to find any files to download. Also I am having a hard time finding anything out about the acadamy. How i join what do I do after i join and so forth. Mainly what is it. I find no easy way to move around over there.

You are not the first to say that...
Look for the Depot Academy, then just post a message saying you would like to join.
The area you seek is called HOGG HALL
