Issue with patch and UK edition

Right. I've had UV (Just Play edition) for some time and had it happily patched to 2.41. However, after installing 2.50 it won't launch from the Game Menu (I get a 'Error: UV Data Not Found' message) and if I try from the Quick Start it launches but doesn't 'see' the patch. I get the same behaviour if I install over 2.30 or if the OS is XP Home or XP MCE.[:@]
