Two New Problems

Post by seaforth7 »

Ran into two issues with the latest patch in a PBEM game.

Can't perform any amphibious movement even though it says I have points in the sea zone. This is specifically in the eastern med trying to move an HQ to India. Sea zone is controlled by Entente. I don't have amphibious points in the Atlantic or North Sea but I don't sea how that should matter.

I have Russian artillery that can't reload even though I have barrage points, in fact on selecting the unit all I get is the ability to strategic move them?

Any thoughts on these would be appreciated (and the disappearing British HQ previously posted). Great game but these small anomalies take away from the enjoyment somewhat,

thanks[:)]

Shouldn't you also have transports in the Atlantic when shipping from Plymouth?
Bout the Russian arty: is it siege arty which takes one impulse to deploy if I'm correct?

Where is the HQ you are trying to move?  I should be OK if you're trying to move from Egypt ot India or vice versa AFAIK, but not afrom anywhere else.

Is the artillery already loaded?

The HQ is in Cario but didn't get the ability to move. All the Russian guns were already deployed and had been firing in previous turns.

Is the Russian artillery in supply?  ( >10%)

In the case of the British, has their "amphib movement" been triggered?  Says on the Naval Orders screen.

Yes the Russian artillery was in supply. This hasn't happened again since.

The British had already moved units to France so I'm assuming amphibeous operations was triggered.

Naval is somewhat confusing I would sure appreciate someone writing a detailed explaination of how the rules work. I though I understood it but it doesn't seem to consistently apply the rules. I've seen damaged ships remain at sea, transports assigned in the naval phase not show up in the sea area, transport over contested sea zones, transport not allowed in sea zones not controlled or contested, ships reiurn to port even though they say they have 1 endurance left. Would sure help me put it all together if there was something publish with the details,

cheers [:)]
