My patch v1.10L does not appear to be taking

I have DL'd the v1.10L patch into my AT program file. I unzip the patch into the AT program file. I run the v1.10L exe. All appears to function properly. Then I start my game and the start screen says v1.02b in the upper left corner. I send a PBEM game to a friend who has upgraded just fine. He says his game tells him that I have not upgraded.

What's the catch? What am I doing wrong?
