World War II - Road to Victory 1.30 Update Released

Post by SeanD »

The 1.30 update brings a razor sharp AI and more realism to test players’ combat prowess!

Matrix Games and IQ Software (www.worldwar2.pl) are happy to announce the release of a major new update for their turn-based grand strategy game, World War II – Road to Victory. The new comprehensive update brings the game to version 1.30 and comes with substantial AI improvements, several tweaks to enhance overall game realism, improved interface art and some late war enhancements like Mulberry harbors and a new smaller scale 1944 Operation Overlord scenario!

David Heath, Director of Operations at Matrix Games, said “World War II – Road to Victory has continued to improve since its release thanks to the hard work of IQ Software and the dedicated testers and community supporting the game. We think that gamers who were on the fence or hoping for a stronger AI opponent should take another look at World War II – Road to Victory now that this update is available.”

World War II: Road to Victory, the first release from IQ Software, puts the player at the helm of his choice of one or more Axis or Allied nations, including minor nations, amidst a continent torn by full scale war. Combat, production, research and diplomacy are all fully modeled.

A diplomacy system based on political points allows you to sway possible allies to your side. Naval combat includes fleet engagements, elusive raiders and U-Boats as well as a convoy system. Concentrate precious industrial resources on building, training and upgrading a wide variety of combat units from airborne soldiers and armored divisions up to nuclear weapons! Historical leaders enhance the performance of your armies and historical events give you choices that can change the course of history. World War II: Road to Victory is fought across turns that vary in length by season and 25 km hexes with divisions and corps, giving the player a broad strategic picture of the war while still leaving enough room for operational decisions.

Get the update here. This update is comprehensive and brings the game to version 1.30.

Hi gunhojr,

I would recommend WW2: Time of Wrath, which is from the same developer and is much improved over the original WW2: Road to Victory.

You can find it here:
