CoG EE and Word

This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!

CoG EE and Word

Post by Kingmaker »

HiHi

Anyone any idea if running MS Word at the same time causes CoG EE to freeze, there were occasional instances of that with FoF.

Be nice to be able to have a screenshot of 'Country Details' up in Word while sorting out trade stuff, save going in & out of Econ/Diplo.

All the Best

I've never noticed any problems. I use Vista and Office 2007 on a 2.4Mhz MacBook Pro w/ 2Gb of RAM (soon to become 4Gb, I hope).

It depends on your RAM probably.  On my 4GB quad-core machine I can run Word, Excel, Photoshop, Visual Studio, Firefox, Thunderbird, Crown of Glory, Windows Media Player, Notepad++, and WinZip without any problems with COG.  On the 2GB single-core machine, I don't like to run much beside Crown of Glory, Visual Studio, and Notepad.

HiHi

Thanks for the replys folks, not overly sure it was a RAM prob as I was/am on 4GB RAM 2.66Ghz dual core prosseser, the whole machine rates 5.5 on the Windows Experiance Index; but you guys will have come across any probs I assume in Beta testing, so your OK is fine by me, Cheers.
