New Members Club Downloads

This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!

New Members Club Downloads

Post by Erik Rutins »

Just a quick note to let you all know of a few new COG: EE downloads in our Members Club for registered owners.

1. Two different alternate in-game map styles.
2. High Res and Low Res Strategic Map images for viewing or printing out.
3. Alternate Tahoma in-game font with instructions for replacing the current in-game font.

Enjoy!

Regards,

- Erik

Where the hell does the new map go? I jus spent 20 minutes looking in all the folders for a pcx file with the same name[:@]. Please always give detailed instructions when files need to be replaced.[:-]

Rename the new map EuropeMap. Then replace the old EuropeMap in the Gfx folder, back it up first.

The new maps look nice.

As I just looked at them, here're my conclusions [;)] :
There are 2 maps : both add a "cloth/parchment texture" over the map, and the first one ("filter_11_01") is much brighter than the vanilla map.
The second is less bright - and I prefer this one [8D].

Probably an issue with your Text Encoding settings.

I'll send Erik a fixed version of the new font to post.  I forgot to remove one of the little boxes in the font graphic.  (Sorry.)

The alternate font in the Members Club has now been updated with a new fixed version that should eliminated the boxes.
