Minor Nation Play

This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!

Minor Nation Play

Post by dlpayer »

Just downloaded COG:EE and am just starting to review the videos and manual. I have one question as of now. How do you play as one of the minor nations? I see you can select a scenario with say Poland. Does this scenario automatically place you in control of Poland? Because I don't see Poland as a selection on the initial setup screen. As a side note, I decided to give this game a try until the new Total War is fixed. My initial reaction is I'll like COG better. Thanks

I think I found my answer (if I only kept reading). I saw in F1 while in the game that the minor scenarios substitue the Minor Nation for Sweden. Then select Sweden as human control.

yep dlpayer.  The scenario name will list a monor country, but it will show as Sweden on the nation selection screen (or whatever its called).

Those scenarios can also be interesting even if you don't play the minor nation as human controlled.  1805 with a major power Bavaria is interesting when playing France, Austria, or Prussia, for instance.
